Why do you think the air intake is not supplied with cold air? I have to think the engineers wind tunnel tested their design, and yet you are buying a CAI thinking this is your childhood beater car needing more air. Makes me chuckle. By the by, the engine compartment is chok full of hot air

Thank you again for a really nice video.. I just wrapped up a third cat delete and first oil change following your video. I really appreciate having a step by step guide, especially the tools needed overview (saves a ton of toolbox back and forth trips). Question on intake: what's the weight difference between stock and grp exhaust.. I know you weighted the grp one, how does it compare to the stock one? Thank you.

Thanks for another great install video! One small note --- there are four little slits on the top portion of the laser cut bracket, those are for zip-tying the wire harness back up into position above the air canister to keep roughly the same routing as oem.

Nice video, and I feel the pain on the tips, I went different route and unclip the diffuser only to access the third bolt which was a pain, but I understand is worth it, these tips look very nice. Although I'm on the fence on the exhaust, i did the third cat delete with stock exhaust and sound louder i think, then I installed the exhaust and is less louder but more compress if that make sense. Did you do all in one or do you have the third cat delete first?
@ForumFoundryАй бұрын
I did the Milltek exhaust controller and third cat delete first. That's really the best bang for the buck. I've elaborated more about it here: www.emiraforum.com/threads/dragoons-emira-build.5101/

How does the overall sound tone "feel" inside the cabin compare to just decat with stock muffler?
@ForumFoundryАй бұрын
It's much quieter in the cab than the stock muffler. The Ti exhaust projects rearward much more than the stock setup did. So it's a lot louder outside and quieter inside.

Very informative and great guide for DIYers to follow. Puzzled by the carbon fibre around the exhaust tips though.. CF isn't really suited to hot areas (I'm sure it's internally heat shielded on these tips), but also it's hiding the beautiful patina you get on titanium once you heat it up - from a visual standpoint that's very desirable, or so I thought.
@ForumFoundryАй бұрын
GRP offers other exhaust tip options. Since I will probably add more carbon fiber around the car, I picked these tips to tie everything together. I did a track day at COTA with this exhaust, and there were no issues, even with the excessive heat.

I was able to tighten it enough to get it square. Are you trying to tighten it by hand, or do you have a piece of wood you can use to help tighten it more?
