I must thank you (if I haven't done it already) for this shootout. You had me buying a Para driver. It's so great even with doublebass 🤘🤘

Not really! It's actually a game changer, (especially for live performances), and the sound quality is not affected if it is used within the first 3 semitones.

This is one of my all time favorite circuits. The variety of drive textures available at the turn of a knob is really nice. The designer, Gillaume, was even kind enough to give some tips to DIYers in forums.

Keeley makes a really nice compressor. Very transparent. I use it to just tame my peaks. Very easy to dial it in. Set the amount of compression you want, set the threshold (watch the light and when it kicks in) and then adjust the Gain. Super easy.

How useful would this pedal really be in a live situation given how much of a huge bass boost is present in the drive channel? Are you able to find a good setting of the EQ that works well with the drive engaged and disengaged?

Looks like a classic Fender tone stack. If you play with the Duncan Amps tone app, you'll get a visual on why that eq set is flat.
