Ah Vietnam Airlines; they must have modelled the customer service on Qantas: useless: In Vietnam they are NEVER on time; constantly cancel flights and send you text messages in Vietnamese to tell you:

@@drgavinnicholson9334 not precisely, I flown the most on VNA, and I’m not getting many delays from them. Most are based by weather cuz during the rainy season getting these jets on the ground is hella hard. But they usually drop us an email when they have a flight delay

39:08 that the new terminal 3 is currently under construction it will be open around mid 2025,😢 but sadly it only serves for domestic flights. If you comeback to Vietnam in 2026 you will arrive in a new airport called Long Thành international airport it will be the largest airport in Vietnam lol.

and I guess Tan Son Nhat could be an only domestic airport or they could change the purpose of the airport to something new since Long Thanh airport and Tan Son Nhat airport got a dif distance about 32km

@@duaneowens7777 not much, but although VNA has bit of a lenient policy sometimes they allow 25kg, but mostly 23kg should be the limit. 9.5 out of 10, despite the odd surprise.

I flew on this exact aircraft from SGN to KIX about 2 weeks ago. They don't sell Premium economy on that route too, and I checked in online to reserve a PE seat while paying for economy. Yeah, the screen was still very responsive surprisingly

Australia i love Sydney and Melbourne so much VietNam AirLines have operated A350 aircraft for flight route from SGN,HAN to MEL and SYD before COVID-19 VietNam AirLines operated B787-9 Dreamliner for this flight

At that time, like you, I regretted that Bamboo Airways still hadn't installed the IFE system although the B787-9s had been in their fleet for quite some times. But now, all of their B787s are Austrian Airlines'...

These B787s of Bamboo Airways are just memories now... I haven't been able to fly on one of them. I really enjoy your wing view, probably the best on a B787. Meals were tasty, and the IFE looked very good.

Firstly : I’d love to say … thank you for a great blog and it was very very informative 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Sencondly : $3300 for a round trip .. I thought you said you were flying economy ?? Even when I flew on the 29th December 2023 .. with my 1 month visa and health insurance I only paid $2200 . This latest flight I’m going on in August with flight , health insurance and 5year visa is on $1480 Finally : What are the new changes that you said about in the title because from what I saw it was the same as my flights there to my wife and son to HCMC ?

Firstly, thank you for the awesome review. Secondly, the fare is $3300 AUD (Australian Dollar), and sadly Vietnam Airlines removed the amenity kit from Melbourne bound flights (which is sad because before they provide awesome stuff). plus yes, I paid economy flex which cost a bit more + I booked this trip a month before the flight basically I knew the fares will get expensive especially during xmas.

As a frequent flyer to Vietnam from Melbourne to HCMC … yes food and drinks are included on Vietnam Airlines . It’s the budget ones like Viet Jet that don’t include food and drinks

@@TomsAviation That sucks, lol. Have you ever considered doing a flight on Vietnam Airlines flagship route (Ho Chi Minh - San Fransisco) on their A350! You could probably get a very good deal if you book from Melbourne to San Fransisco via Ho Chi Minh! I would love to see some U.S. videos!

@@idxluaviation I'm considering on that one, but unfortunately for me I need a visa to get to the US. Plus the route is 15 hours which is brutal, but the saddest thing is the airfare for this route is so expensive that I would prefer flying to Melbourne, but maybe one day... one day.

i have titanium lotusmiles card too, does it have a priority line for titanium cardholder? and extra piece of check in luggage? i have read on the vietnam airline website, they said titanium cardholders can get on the priority check in counter and extra piece of check in luggage

yes for titan members for Vietnam Airlines, they do have priority check in for all flights flying anywhere, including priority boarding + priority bag which is nice as well. Although they offer you an additional check luggage, but that second one and the one you carrying can't be over 23kg.

@@Mesh_potato I've already flown on their economy in the past which is nice, although the experience is quite good. But usually some of the trips I don't book, while my family members booked for me to travel and I usually jump in and see what it is.

Bamboo's A320 and A321 (including the neo jets) don't have in-flight entertainment. This is only on the 787-9.
