I wasn’t even sure if this song was even real. I hadn’t heard it since I first heard the tune on smash bros brawl and I’ve finally found it. I can now die happy.

The chances of a new one are low a couple years after it launched along with legend of Zelda, it became a less popular game. By the late 90’s it was mostly forgotten. It became popular again due to the release of it on the Nintendo 3ds shop. I really want a new one but I think that’s highly unlikely

Lmao, the day after you posted this, your dreams were shattered. I feel bad. +PikaLink91 That was the proof that he was being reconsidered. The ESRB Leaked found information a while back that said Takamaru was reconsidered as a fighter, but nobody here knows who he is, so I guess it's fair that he didn't get promoted. I suppose Duck Hunt is just more deserving, I guess. Obscurity damned Takamaru from day one.

Medachod Well, he did get a Mii costume. Also, 83% of people who play Smash didn't know who the boy with the baseball bat was either, and yet Ness was in the game from the start. I know Takamaru didn't see a release outside of Japan until the Virtual Console, but Ness was completely overshadowed by Chrono Trigger, so I'd say they are almost the same level of obscure. I guess the problem with Takamaru is that he's too Japanese xD

NintenKnow If we get another Smash with Sakurai involved, I think it's a very strong possibility. Of course, I thought King K. Rool was a shoe-in for Smash 4, but no such luck! Write your letters and cross your fingers, but give him a rest for now.

It's been loosely remade. It's called Sekiro. Miyazaki was heavily inspired by this game.

There’s actually a remake of this game as a bonus mode in the Wii version of samurai warriors 3, it just plays like a warriors game
