#KDYO_46_040 #Mazda_CX5_radio_stays_on #automatic_transmission_switch If The part KDYO - 46 - 040 has damaged. When car is turned off, radio stays on, drains the battery. The automatic transmission proximity switch fails due to a rubber material being too soft, you should replace this part. The solution is showed in the video.

Is flashing vs solid meaning true for all vehicles? We have a Prius v and it recently flashes every once in a while for 5 seconds or less and then goes back off. Usually after we’ve been driving for over 30min. Coolant level is fine, no leaks that we can see. It started doing it after we took it in to get the brakes checked, could be coincidence but I wonder if a sensor got jostled.

Thank you for sharing this. This issue has been driving me nuts and Mazda won't help and most dealerships have no idea what I'm talking about. I ordered the part online and I plan on doing this myself.
