andjust think... the real cars were hitting much higher top speeds than in this game. multiple cars were clocked at 199mph in 1967 with now slipstream.

I think my remaining issues with the AI would almost instantly be fixed if we could tune their straight line speed independent to their braking and cornering performance. You are basically getting 2 free passes into each heavy braking zone but they are pulling away on the straights.

They are mostly fine on straights. Is the fast corners they are lacking. Look at burnenville, malmedy and masta kink performance. They lift a LOT. In normal circuits they are better than these old F1 circuits. Unfortunately. It is not the breaking zones either. Look at the two last laps at La Source. The red car was superior through there. Still better than AC AI and open lobbies in multiplayer at any current racing game as people tend to crash more often than this.

Is almost a direct adaptation of SPA67 for Grand Prix Legends, actually. Classic SPA on PC2 had different road width and elevation in certain spots.

It was, the game has that as an option too (this is the '1000km' version from an endurance race, I believe).

Damn, that looks good. You can almost feel how the car is going to turn round as you watch. The AI also seems to drive "intelligently". Nice track and ride as well

Amazing video mate. The footage mixed with this wonderful calm song really encapsulates the beauty of rally. Driving at high speeds in tight roads, sliding through corners, holding the car precisely on it's absolute limit, finding the rhytm of the turns and dancing with danger. The video portrays these adrenaline filled moments really well. These moments when the whole world melts away until it's just you, the road, and the car. This portrayal of the danger of rally in contrast to the calmness of the music creates such a unique experience. This is what rally truly is about, art.

Wow, beautifully put. I wholeheartedly agree, and thank you for these words. Rally is so underrated and I believe is one of the purest form of racing today. Drivers are not only technitians in the real world but also artists in creating the shortest path through sometimes what mostly is nature. All the best!

how did you locked at 30fps?

I just put Vsync on (half) in graphics options. Monitor at 60hz, so it goes to 30 fps smoother than hard capping on control panel or 3rd party programs. Enable triple buffering for a slight even more smoother frames but a little more input lag.
