most of the parts in a used washer do not slip on and off like the video. There is hammering, pulling and prying to get things apart. Clean and lube everything that goes back together, even wire brushing and polishing if necessary. Its easier to remove 2 small screws at the back hinges and pulling the top forward and up than using the putty knife technique that did not work for me.

Please state this this is NOT how to disassemble all LG TOP LOAD washers. My top load lid does not come off like this at all. U have to remove screws from the back of the lid first and shove it forward to shift the metal tabs out of their place. Then take the whole lid off. It DOES NOT have hinges to be able just to flip it up.

Great video, I understand the limit-cases as 100% refrigerator OR 100% freezer. But I still have a doubt: why the centre position is closed output? I understand this could be just temporary, but overpressurizing the condenser and forcing the compressor does not seem good to me - if not properly timed, it could even create hydro/shell test in the tubings. I possible advantage would be to create a burst-flow for flushing the chosen capillary path (RC/FC), but I question if this eventual benefit would be significant to overcome those other issues.

That last part with the adjustment nut is confusing. He converting TO propane but this is already set to propane from the factory? Then turns it down even tho already set to propane? I came here seeking the opposite propane to NG. My assumption would be them to unscrew the nut to that upper limit which I assume is the max?

I just got done making some repairs to most of the solder joints on the control board and extension board, as well as replaced 5 relays. 7 years ago my selector knob stopped working leaving me on the colors cycle, a repair man said I needed a new board for 800! Same price as a new washer, lol. Anyways he never even looked at the board. I told him to fly a kite, lol. FF 7-8 years my washer was malfunctioning and I had to unstack the dryer to get to the mother board to start my testing and upon inspection I saw the selector switch had faulty solder joints, cracked and separated from the board. I just got done and put everything back together and want to run a test mode to determine what the issue was or still is. I'm really hoping I fixed th e knob cuz cant run the program wi th iut it.

I realize that this is an old video however my epic z washer is just now quitting on me and rather than immediately haul it off to the dump I thought perhaps I'd look inside to see if anything apparent was wrong with it. while making this video it would've been more involved but...nice if the maker had taken a few moments with each component pull out to explain what to look for or how to look to see if it was the offending part, or the reason for the washer fail. thanks anyway for making.

Don't you need to bleed the air out of the lines? What happens if you are using the bag temporarily and will be returning the refrigerant to the system after repair? When you get back to the shop how do you prevent air from entering the recovery tank from the bag?

I'm compiling all the tips that helped me; Tub removal: Cut a 2x4 long enough to slide into the top of the tub and grab both sides when you try to pull out flat(for me it was 21") after removing the wash plate, tub ring, hose, and hub(try not to strip the screws, and if you do, buy a screw extractor and take your time.) Place a bottle or scissor jack on the shaft and jack it up until it hits the 2x4. This should give you enough pressure to remove the tub. Making your own bearing press: Go to the hardware store and get a 1/2" piece of all-thread 6"-12" long and 3 nuts to fit it. Bring your old or new bearings to match the washers to the diameter of the bearings(it's ok to stack them, but your top washer should be 1/2") Use the old top bearing on top of the new top bearing, this will ensure even pressure across both races. For the top side; Make a jam nut by stacking 2 nuts on top of eachother on the all-thread then slide on your washers and old bearing. Line up the washers on the bottom and check both sides to make sure everything is centered and double check that the sleeve and spacer are in-between both bearings before pressing into place. Slowly tighten the nut on the bottom side of the tub and stop to check alignment throughout the process, you might have to disassemble and check alignment with the new shaft. You'll know it's in when it drops in with no binding and you can see enough threads for the locking nut on the underside of the tub. Hope this helps 🏄‍♂️

Got a kuis18nntb2 that won't make ice. Made a tiny bit of ice but not water freezing over the evap. Replaced the evap thermistor and the water level sensor because of the lights, now I have no lights flashing but no ice is forming on the evaporator. I feel the compressor working along with the fan and all functions appear to be working, at least according to the lights on the maintenance mode.... Any suggestions? Thanks Dave
