Thanks, sorry for the late reply, moved al my surf videos to Scheveningen.surf and forgot about this channel :) I guess a few more versions of Premiere have come and gone, so my answer might be useless by now: never had any issues with this camera and Lumetri. I did find the camera amazing for video, but very noisy for Photography and have sold it.

Cool, would love to see that! I hope you get some nice detail, honestly I'm not super impressed by the A7RIII's slowmotion, it looks like the RX10IV did a better job at 100FPS. Maybe it's the bitrate, at A7RIII 100fps is only 16mbit.

Congrats! The zoomrange on this camera is crazy :) Combined with the fantastic AF and great slow motion it really is a very nice camera for almost everything.

Hi Dayne, In this video, I left it all up to the camera. The only suggestion I can give you is: if you start in photo mode: it will autofocus a lot faster, once in focus you can start recording the video. Autofocus in video mode​ is a bit slow, another thing that might help is experimenting with autofocus points, I used continues autofocus with the center spot on wide. And sometimes just used the 'green' full auto mode for this video. Just to see what makes the camera track a surfer better. The camera can have trouble picking out the surfer if the waves are not super clean. So good luck, the best thing to do is experiment a bit at first, perhaps on other surfers. It's better to mess up at first and figure out why things go wrong than to try and be perfect all the time and never find that sweet spot.

Still practicing 'paddling out like a pro'! :) Got this camera to shoot surfers and wildlife, so I'm really happy with the quality of 250FPS at 600mm, there is a minor change in resolution, but when I push it in the edit, give it a bit more punch and sharpen a bit: it looks really good. And I agree, the 500 and 1000fps is just a gimmick! Thanks and can't wait to see what you're going to do with it, have fun!

Hi Chris, I have reviewed certain aspects of the camera, you can find them here: www.maartentoner.net/category/photo/sony-rx10-iv/ Stuff like the phase detect AF, shooting cinematic video. The auto focus is definitely not going to disappoint, PQ depends on the light and what software you use, adobe and capture One can't read the raw files just yet. Still a lot to cover because this camera can do so much: HDR and low light shooting for instance. Have a look? And if you are missing anything please let me know! Waiting is always the worst, especially when you have spend the money :)

The picture profile menu has a lot of settings where you can change your gamma, colour profile, detail settings and you can even go deep into the color depth menu and change the RGB and CMYK values to make whatever color you like pop, setup how you want the detail / sharpening to work, black levels etc. You can't import a LUT, but you can tweak a lot of settings to get the backed in look you want. There are 9 picture profile memory slots with presets, you can change all of them and reset them back to factory default or copy them to have variations on your own preferred look. This is what the RX10IV has, no idea if the III has the same options. Hope this info helps, I'm working on a more extensive blog post about the whole 'look' setting / editing of this camera in case you want even more specific info :)

Very true, and you get a super-fast focusing photo camera with this little pocket rocket (Crumpler bag rocket is more like it). It can actually look pretty cinematic as well: I have tested it with the Cine 2 Picture Profile and did some simple grading on the image I think it looks really good. In the Cine2 video the tracking is even better.
