Trully mazing work but how did you do to imitate the curved planking of the deck ? I mean how did you trace those lines initially ? using which tool or measurement device ? Also regarding the brass (?) chainplates, did you manufacture those yourself ? If yes were you able to source ready made items that required minimla mofidication or did you need to do it all by yourself from scratch ? I wish I could do the same but am at a loss in finding out how to get that result regarding both issues above.

Hi, each plank is ripped on a table saw then flexed into position while trimming each end and CA'ed or glued into place one at a time with black construction paper placed between each plank for a caulked look. The chain plates were fabricated. www.onlinemetals.com/ amyajclass.com/building-a-j-class-model

@@crownvalleytrans Hi, firstly thanks for taking the time to get back to me! I'd consider both, a kit would have to be a timber kit. On balance I'd prefer the scratch route, I don't have so much cash to throw around but I am patient, methodical and good with my hands. Would be super grateful for anything you can suggest!

Here's the frame kit to get started that I would recommend modellers-workshop.com/modellers-workshop-mw107-j-class-1937-ranger-116-scale-laser-cut-frame-set-total-length-102/ I can share a copy of Weetamoe's plans, but you'll be cutting out every rib individually from door skin material and would require a lot of man hours. Here's a build video of that process: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2HPpquHmKx2bK8si=sd4g7K72Q-WgO6IB If your serious read this: amyajclass.com/building-a-j-class-model @@alannewman85

It's not clear to me if you removed the tailshaft and then the middle part or do you need to remove the middle part before the tailshaft can come out. Or to ask a different way, is it possible to remove only the tailshaft without removing or disassembling any other parts of the transmission?
@crownvalleytrans
@crownvalleytrans 2 жыл бұрын
The tail shaft assembly is unbolted and slid back far enough to allow the case (middle part) to be dropped down and out/removed. Once the case is removed then and only then are you able to remove the tail shaft assembly.

Hi Alex, Yes, the 755 is the rudder servo. This Sail Winch is from ServoCity and is Discontinued, specs are 7:1 ratio, 180 degree counter clockwise max rotation with a D950TW 32-Bit, Ultra Torque, Titanium Gear, 486 oz/in torque. ServoCity does offer Sail Winches, but no longer offers the top flange.

If this is the Willow Green 57 I think it is it was my fault that trans needs service. When I installed the engine and transmission into the car I only put 4 courts of fluid in the trans then started the engine to break-in the cam. I never added more fluid to the transmission because I forgot. So remember that you need a dedicated person to fill that transmission up quickly.
