The needles are quite easy to break (I have broken them in the past) but if you're careful they aren't too bad. You could possibly reach and adjust the mile counter without removing them but I wouldn't be too sure on that. As with your other comment, I can possibly check in the next couple of days if needed.

It's been quite some time since I took a set apart but I recall you just need to remove all the screws from the back and each section will come out easily and safely enough. I might have some I can check in the next few days and get back to you if that's useful.

It was a fairly cheap and generic holder from ebay "Triple 52mm x 3 Gauge Holder Pod Panel - Standard Stereo Radio Slot Single Din" will find it. it wasn't great but did the job. There are/were better ones out there but they were very expensive...I suspect you can probably find someone that 3D prints better ones these days.

Sorry for late response. In my case it turned out that the wiring for the air flow meter was slightly faulty, causing the ECU to overfuel

It's for the digital display / Multi Function Display in the cluster. All GTIs should have the MFD which lets you see oil temp etc. and speed is one of the things on there, although I recall it's not terribly accurate as the sample rate is quite slow.

You are right, the Scorpion does look and sound better for actual riding...especially before it got dented by someone else. The short one was a fun test but way too loud in reality and while I like the brushed metal style, the size just doesn't fit right on the bike.

It's hard to really get a proper video of it without annoying neighbours but it's not awful...although it is rather loud on my bike when riding around, plus it really emphasises the pops the bike does on overrun. I don't have an exact link as they've stopped selling it but I got a 310mm exhaust from AliExpress (similar to Option 4 here: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003797822296.html ). A better bet would probably have been a 370mm one. I did also have to get a mid/link pipe (I think it was this one: www.aliexpress.com/item/33025213727.html ) to convert my 52mm slip on clamp style from the Scorpion to the spring retainer style of the cheap exhaust. I bought a bunch of link pipes so I'm not 100% sure on the one I used in the video. You can probably pick all the bits up from eBay instead for similar costs.

Thats your opinion - and its wrong . If this was a car with correct Setup and a Driver that could handle it , you are much faster than what you have seen here .

The internet is odd. I've put information into the description, including the builder's website with dyno graphs...people still refuse to believe a car had 1000hp. I can kind of see the scepticism in 2013 but there are so many 1000+ hp cars these days I'm not sure why they are all butthurt, :D

@@Couyou the Quattros forte was cornering speed and agility. It’s what it was famous for. I was parodying the fact that here it’s reduced to an almost full stop in a corner. In this configuration the Speed and power is super impressive but it’s definitely lost it’s point.

@@jerrycronin7278 I fail to see how understeering is a forte. It needed to go sideways to get around and often did that on loose surfaces while being manhandled by absolute lunatics haha. To try and act like you're a rally driver in a 1000hp understeer machine on tarmac is kind of (financial) suicide if you ask me hahaha. With a turbo big enough to make that kind of power it's either nothing or everything as you can see when it kicks in.

I'm guessing the owner didn't trust himself with the car (yet) and took it easy on himself and the car for safety. This isn't the regular S1 quattro we've seen rallying before, this is overpowered and he's just showboating on the straights for the audience
