Hi Guys. Just to let you know and I'm sure you two are aware. Things happen and that is just another story for you to let someone else know. "Hey, that's happened to us!" Good Video and I hope the gimbals wasn't that bad of an issue. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you yes! The gimbal seems to be working better now, I think a piece of sand got stuck in it.

Wow, Congratulations. This has being a wonderful project. With great master skills, designing and engineering an old bus has being converted in to a sweet home RV fully equipped. Just amazing, if I did not watch from the beginning I would not believe. Now that the main project is complete let the travel adventure begins, will be here watching. Safe and healthy travel.

when u rinse your washed dishes it is important to use warm water to remove all the soap. if u dont do this your very likely to get the scoots. if you cant access or make warm water choose a very mild soap and use as little as possible. i found a solar water bag to work the best most of the time. thanks for sharing your adventure.

Don't be one of those 'van lifers ' that focuses 100% on "interior design" and "tech" while completely ignoring the basic mechanical underpinnings that you will rely on.

Good idea! Unfortunately I threw it away immediately, lol. I'm pretty sure it has a bi-metallic strip inside that was just incorrectly sized.

I love my diesel heater. I got the one with the external tank though. I mounted the tank inside the van near the back door but on a swivel. That way when I need to refuel I open the back door and angle the tank such that it is outside the back slightly. That way if I spill any diesel it just goes onto the ground and not inside. Only got one spill. I think I used baking soda and vinegar. Maybe some dish soap also. Coated the spill area on the tank with this and let it dry. Then wiped it off. That pretty much got rid of the smell.

That's really smart! If we were to redo it I'd definitely consider a separate tank. Once I opened up the heater I realized how simple they are plumbed!

The simplest way to assess things is to measure directly. Get a multi-meter that has a clamp, for measuring current, as well as measuring voltage. The USB dongle, into the inverter/charger, is great for checking that you're using the correct charging profile for LFP batteries but it's a backwards way of measuring power going into and out of the batteries. For what it's worth, in my experience, the most common reason for getting less than expected performance from a bank of batteries is due to the way they are connected together and to the chargers and loads - that they're technically connected in parallel is not enough and that you tested one battery ij isolation is not telling you how the battery bank is performing.

Hiya, nice video.. Charge the batteries one by one to 100% and reconnect together.. Add a shunt to your system and the you can monitor more accurately.
