Stalking Jack the Ripper has been on my tbr for years so thank you for reminding me I need to get to it! I LOVE a slow burn. Also a biiiiig Ali Hazelwood fan so I trust your taste 🙏

Oh! I just yesterday finished the shadow between us. I really really liked it. The only two things i hated was in the beginning she, for me atleast, reads like a "im not like other girls" in almost an annoyingly cringe way but i think she slowely comes out of it and ammends out of it by acknowledging that she used to view other girls as competition and not potential friends. Also the word clad is used 150 times (not literally) and i almost made it a drinking game from it. Overall great read :)

Yes I totally see where you're coming from with the cringy not like other girls personality! I think if I had read this book now it probably wouldn't have become a favorite 😅 glad you enjoyed it!

@Saraisinbookland i still absolutely loved it. It is a great book, and I haven't read a great book in a while (mostly that I read slow and I haven't read a lot im on 25 this year the most ever) there's great plots and I was gaslit into liking leandros who I didnt trust at first xD

I just thrifted a book haul of 194 books for 27 dollars for my book giveway at applebees( 3701 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, LA 70002). I am the host there. I have given away over 2800 books for babies kids teens and adults in 10 months. Let's get this generation reading

I would always buy my books thrifted but I recently started buying from Amazon. I’ve bought 17 books since mid September on Amazon. I will stay away from Amazon(for books anyways lol) until next year.

I absolutely loved The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. I especially loved reading her backstory and the in-between how she survived being forgotten. Belladonna is very interesting to me, the whole premise sounds incredibly interesting! Also I truly dont know your reading style but i reccomend reading Alebrijes by Donna Barba Higuera, its science fiction post apocalyptic about a 13 year old being stuck in a city that is considered a safe haven thay is actually a slave camp. He's forced to leave the city which is surrounded by giant creatures. Alebrijes in my culture are spirit animals they guide us and are mostly brought up during the day of the dead which is Nov. 2nd. If youve ever seen Coco the Disney movie its talked about a little in there. If you havent i recommend it aswell. That one i have a feeling you would like

Belladonna definitely doesn't disappoint! I've added Alebrijes to my wishlist immediately, it sounds so interesting, I do enjoy a post apocalyptic story from time to time :))

I experienced this with ACOTAR as well, after reading it the first time I think I blacked out and gave it 5 stars but after re-reading it’s not even SJM’s best let alone the best romantasy 💀

The first thing that came to my mind would be the Stalking Jack the ripper series by kerri maniscalco. It's ya mystery plus a little bit of romance (it focuses more on the mystery though) the female main character is very sure of herself so that's a little different than what you wanted, but she hasn't ever been in any sort of romantic relationship (it's historic times so that's the main reason) she studies anatomy (I think), which isn't normal for a woman to do in that time. The male love interest is a very sarcastic man and I absolutely love him lol. This is the closest thing I could think of that I've read! Not exactly the same but hope it sounds good :))

Having your books split across your parents' is so relatable. I have whole ass bookshelves split across the country so if I want my copy of something i have to try and remember if i left it at my mom's dad's or uncle's and book a flight bahaha. Love the video Sara as always 🥰

I finally read A thousand boy kisses in like april and it was pretty good. I cried a lot, the only thing is that i didnt enjoy the epilogue. Its great to find you again! Like when you're at the bookstore do you look for the books on your wishlist or choose from what the bookstore offers? I always get overwhelmed when I'm at the bookstore it's like I either want to buy everything or nothing lmao

I usually just go to the bookstore and look what selection of books they have :) I do like to experiment sometimes and buy a book I wouldn't normally buy. I totally get why bookstores are overwhelming! I just take a look and pick the one(or ones) that speak to me the most :)) I also lose control often and just buy a load of books that I didn't even need lol.
