I use full set fatalis armor with agitator charm 5, and a safi jiva sword, my decoration is not really suited for LS tho, i just prioritize attack and critical

I loved him in world. His turf battle animation where allways so cool. Where he as a relatively weak dog never gives up and allways fights back

As a 5th gen hunter. Odogaron is my fav monster, just because he was the first monster Ive fought so many times that I memorized his moves set and the fights between us became a fun dance. His the monster that also made me not quit the game. he kind of give me a glimpse of how fun the game can be when you got monster knowledge. All that to say, I would love to see him in wild. Also the armor set would go hard.

Gonna be honest seeing a entire dog pack of odogarons in wilds would be hard amazing and scare the shit out of me at the same time to the point that I would be glad to get it

Odogaron was probably the best new species of wyvern introduced in world no diff we certainly need him back. I mean in master rank when they changed his moveset it was such a new level of hype, always an amazing hunt. Conclusion he needs ti be in wilds

Odogaron is very interesting design-wise, but gameplay-wise not so much. A bit like Legiana in my opinion, I would be much happier to see a map like Rotten Vale come back than Odogaron personaly. Doggo-wise, Lunagaron was more interesting.

@@Kodaiva Let me elaborate. Odogaron is not an horrible fight, but there is nothing to interact with. You can focus whatever part because you hit yellow pretty much everywhere. Breaking any part won't make a difference in the fight, playing paralysis trivialise the fight completly (though you are not forced to, agreed) the ailment inflicted by it is the worst. It lacks a fun mechanic we can interact with, its fiery state is just... there. I played 800+ hours of MHW/MHI I and I am not even sure of what it does besides making it faster and angrier. It's ecology is cool though.

I love using duel blades for odogaron, it feels more like a dance instead of a hunt. I do hope they bring odogaron to wilds too.

I can't believe I started world with charge blade and just go wild on it. After encountering Anajanath I started to learn the basics of CB just to beat this dino. Poor guard, late phial chrages, chaining attacks, moveset predictions, all were so novice. And then I revisit the mission with no armour and rarity 1 CB (after finsihing iceborne and fatalis). Boy I was unstoppable looking back how far i've grown and expeienced using CB

tips for anjanath: u can aim for it's hindlegs to make him fall for a few seconds. When it's fall u can go for full TCS

Use your tackle more, it has hyperarmor and reduces damage, skips 1 attack of the TCS combo, its very useful cause it can shorten attack rotation and brute force your way through attacks. Greatsword is basically finding openings, Draw attack and maybe follow up if you thInk you have enough time, roll then sheathe.. and repeat!

The feeling the game gives you for progression is insane, trust me. I startet MHW a month ago and now i beat high rank anjanath in under 4 minutes with longsword. But I know I'm still a newbie I just startet Iceborn and I'm at master rank 4.

You did great. The risk / reward of using the great sword and how it relies heavily on enemy moveset knowledge makes intial attempts difficult but the reward of absolutely devastating a known foe is a chefs kiss.

3U Lagombi was harder than Anjanath, but I can relate since he has more varied moves and bigger hit-boxes than previous monsters

anjanath is just a fodder monster imo, a super weak t-rex gimmick you can easily beat him with starter weapons and no upgrades

I mean the guy isn’t entirely wrong. I remember my first monster hunt experience, I was dandy until I met rexy there. Yeah, I can kick his and his thunder brother’s ass like a Sunday stroll but that’s only because I fought him so many time I know what to expect, what to check for, and what I can recover from. Weapon type is just a means of adjustment, the main thing in this game is experience. Experience how you handle weapons, monsters, and new gimmicks in general.
