There's a part of me that feels the weebs at KTEH knew what the hell they were doing with this. Using a show so drenched in melancholy and anxiety about the millenium. It's either the best possible or worst possible choice of show to watch at that moment in history.

The timing of everything in this clip is truly a once in a lifetime capture. It's beautifully nostalgic; live TV recorded on a VHS tape. Unintentional, pensive artwork. This would fit in a gallery with other taped content during that month. It's hard to remember much of what it was like or to recall anything specific following the immediate aftermath, other than collective malaise.

I love this guy! Tom was spreading the gospel, he knew about these amazing shows and tried his hardest to get them across. People like this are incredibly important to the early anime scene.

I was just looking up this song and came across this video . Nice work, I enjoyed it 😊. Took the scene transitions from rolw with Frieren scenes was pretty cool. At least you know the scenes are actually going to happen 😂. I bought the vhs tapes of the rolw series back in the late 90s based off of the opening alone. Boy I was let down, esp after watching the original rolw on the sci-fi channel multiple times. Those were the good old days.
