Hi Liz n Wal... I've been fossicking for sapphire and have a claim in Rubyvale... I now live in Albury so I can't get up there very often... I saw an old video of you fossicking in wee Jasper... I had a go there recently but didn't do very well... can you please give me some pointers on roughly where to go or perhaps which creek to try... thanks again 👍⛏️💎⛏️

Sold to Canada is a joke. $5 billion would make it $1.5 million = an acre, about 10x what land there costs no. And what does Canada gain ? Aging infrastructure in an area so far from Vancouver that there are miles and miles and miles of farmland between them. In Pt Roberts land values would double or triple, but so would their property taxes. The average age in Pt Roberts will be high, and should Canada pay for the healthcare of all these old folks ? Right now, Canada sells them water and electricity at high rates, and that would be lost in the sale. Frankly Pt Roberts is a drain on Washington State and WA should try to give it to Canada or more interestingly give it it's independence. Of Course the Feds would be involved too. Too complex, no economic sense.

Blah ! I thought these were interesting gemstones, We have spheres like that, but larger, all among the shale beds all over Gulf Islands BC. You wonder how they form but clearly they formed as part of the shale enclosing them. Personally, I think they'll find some kind of microbe causes this. Much ado about nothing.

There's a saying that goes, Never judge a book by its cover. In this case, Never judge the people by it's budgie.🤣 My late husband and I never use swear words but we do have a lot of people around us/friends that do. However, my husband and I are very fond of each other that we spend a lot of time together and also have a lot of discussions about the many interest that we share like fishing, prospecting for gold & gems, sports, how the universe came to be, etc, etc. 😉 Add a smart budgie to that environment and you'll end up with Pedro the Budgie that mimics everything he hears. He also watches a lot of TV. Thanks for watching, Edwin and hope you still enjoyed the video. Have a great day! Cheers, Liz

@LizKreate Pardon me if I sounded rude, I was only trying to joke. We used to have a tiny little green cheek conure that imitated us when we were angry, and it was embarrassing when we had guests over. He was a good bird

Some years ago, my soulmate and I lived in a 60 series Landcruiser wagon. We used a king size mosquito net and put Velcro in strategic places on the car. We could cover all four open windows, the side sliders, and the open tailgate when we were camped (we slept in the back). Yours is a great solution too.

Instead of the corded grinder tool-use a cordless battery one to reduce electric shock hazard. The use of the corded tool in the bowel of water kinda scary.

@LizKreate

Thanks for watching, Corinna. Research. These places are open to the public and is only a matter of doing a bit of online research to find them. By typing in on the search bar, for example....Where to find gemstones in NSW? Then you have a few places to explore and after finding out the rules and regulations... then one can start planning the trip. Have a great weekend!🥰

We do this for the hobby and not the monetary value.😉 Natural sapphire comes in different grades from AAA to B (jewelry use) to industrial grade used for abrasives and cutting purpose. As long as the stone doesn't have cracks, it can be cut and used for jewellery. Value can range from AU$30 upwards per carat. Even spinels (black jack) when tumbled can still fetch $3 a piece. Thanks for watching, Steve and have a wonderful weekend. Cheers, Liz 🥰
