Just bought the Nikon Z 600mm f/6.3 vr S, which was in sale, and I also received the new $180 Nikon Arcrest II 105mm protective filter for free. I still own the F-mount 200-500mm f5.6 which still gives me great quality images. I also own the Sigma 500mm f4 sports, which I use for low light situations. The autofocus on the Z 600mm f/6.3 vr s is almost as snappy as my Sigma 500mm f4 sports, and night and day from the 200-500mm f5.6. I prefer prime lenses over zooms, they are faster focusing and sharper. At the end of the day, you only get that shot ONCE. The Nikon Z 600mm f/6.3 vr s is one tac sharp lens, it's small and light with fast AF. Yes it's a bit on the pricey side but worth it. You can check out some of the captures on Instagram at jfphotography69. Not many pictures with this lens yet, but more on the way.

I was a paid professional photographer from 1978-2007. I went complete.y digital in 2008. I would never go back. Also, unless you do the entire darkroom experience, you aren't really doing film photography.

This camera looks awesome! I used to do a lot of video work especially sports filming back in the day when HD camcorders were coming out (even owning the HC1 when it first came out) so I know camcorders like this well and am a fan of them vs a point and shoot for video even today. I am a little disappointed you have to step up to something like this to get anything over 30fps in 4k rather than a smaller handheld from Sony or Canon for that matter. Unless anyone has any suggestions for smaller camcorders that do 4k60 that I'm unaware of?

Sold my fx6 for this. Loved the fx6, but enjoying not carrying so many lens for events and wildlife shots.

28-75 G2 is too big and heavy for the A7Cii in my experience. I'm selling mine and getting a 50mm 2.8 G instead

using the specific mic while you are talking about it is a brilliant idea, I don't know why other creators did not adopt the same approach. I watched like 20-30 videos about mics and yours definitely stand out.

I have the z200 and for live events and some corporate work etc is great! It just needs some lighting...nothing wrong with that. It' s not meant for narrative work or even music videos (for ultra shallow DOF just use a FX3). For other events I just use a FX30 with a fast lens. Where is the final video to see them in action? This camera WILL not replace a FX6 -it's not meant to! Different tools. I needed a camcorder in my bag and this one is good-not perfect. Some people tried to "over sell it" (I guess Sony liked that) comparing it to the FX6! silly strategy. There is a niche for pro camcorders. This may be the last camcorder I buy-unless a APSC camcorder is made one day! Unlikely.

I have the nx800 exact same camera as the z200 minus timecode and SDI. Had it 2 days after it was released. Phenomenal camcorder, has tons of great features but it is not the best in low light. It’s ok but a lot of people who bought this camcorder were very disappointed in the low light quality because a lot of people thought it was going to be just as good as a fx3, fx6, or fx30. It is just not. Me I love the camera but I am also realistic and know there is no perfect camera. I use mine for outdoor racing events, interviews, and it does great. I think it’s a perfect camera for those who know how to get the most out of it. Find out its quirks like all cameras have and go from there. I pair mine up with my fx30 and they go very well together. Thanks for sharing

I just took it on the color tint. Sigma lenses almost always have a warmer tint to them than Sony or Tamron.

Re the comment that the screen looks dark in bright sunlight, you can turn up the screen brightness both on shooting and playback - which I often do in these conditions. Helpful!

My R5O is dragging when taking videos. What could be the problem?

NOBODY MENTIONES THAT R5 Mark II DOESN'T HAVE FRAME SCAN ADJUST (like in Lumix cameras e.g.), NO IBIS HIGH RES SHOTS (like the previous R5 cameras and Lumix, Sony cameras), NO SSD EXTERNAL RECORDING OPTIONS (like Lumix and other brands), IT HAS 1 EV WORST DYNAMIC RANGE THAN R5 (iss predecessor) AND WAY WORST SHADOW AND CHROME NOISE! BASED ON THE LATEST TEST AF DIDN'T IMPROVED, AT LEAST NOT IN THE CURRENT FIRMWARE.

ef 70-200 is verry better

NO FRAME SYNC OPTION AND NO SSD RECORDING OPTION!!! NO IBIS HIGH RES SHOT (400 MP OPTION). NO OLDER BATTERIES ACCEPTENCE! sRAW INTERLACING AND MOIRE!
