Animals and landscapes are the best subjects. My favorite photo was a squirrel. The little guy posed in the best lighting.

Love squirrels! I have an editing video of one on my KZbin and it’s one of my favourite photos ever. They are just … cute 😂
@matthewborgmann4221Ай бұрын
@@PhillipGlombik it was a gray squirrel and his tail looked red because of the sunlight hitting it. He looked amazing. I'll have to check out that video. I'm not great at editing, that part I don't have much practice on.
@PhillipGlombikАй бұрын
Ohhhh that sounds like a super lucky light situation! Sometimes editing is not super needed when you get lucky - but as an editing lover myself, I would always recommend a little touch up personally :) let me know if that squirrel video helps! Also depends on what software you would want to use, if any.

I sometimes take 30 from the same angle because I can't be bothered to decide what the best settings are and just take a few in each. Also, why take one photo, then take a few seconds to check its okay when you can just keep shooting?
@PhillipGlombikАй бұрын
Totally agree - I’m a total Spray and pray dude 😂😂 same with focusing - I could check the photo and refocus if I need to - but I can also just take 20 shots and change focus slightly so the good one HAS to be in there 😂😂 in the times of large sd cards, that’s really no problem anymore. Some would say that this takes away from the skill of setting the camera right the first time and it’s wasting time“ but … nah 😂
@matthewborgmann4221Ай бұрын
@PhillipGlombik every now and again, I like to make a point of only taking one photo. There was this guy a while back who made a photo album where he took one photo a day. I was curious and tried just one photo of a lakeshore. Spending the time to make sure the angle was perfect, focus, everything else was meditative.
@PhillipGlombikАй бұрын
That’s for sure, it has a super calming effect as you’re fully focused on the photo. But if there’s FOMO (fear of missing out), I think I have FOMTPS - fear of missing the perfect shot 😂 Respect that you tried though - whatever works for oneself … works! Did the photo turn out the way you wanted in the end, too?

I'm a landscape and nature photographer but because I am only 15 years old I haven't heard these yet. I use Canon and Nikon but I usually use my Nikon camera given a choice based off of lens options, if anyone is reading this who is a photographer, feel free to let me know your thoughts on Nikon and Canon, or which is better and why
@matthewborgmann4221Ай бұрын
Honestly, it's not a huge difference between them. Use the one most comfortable in your hands, and you'll get the best photos. I use a Nikon because it was a better price at the time I got into photography, and now that I'm used to where everything is, cannon feels weird in my hands. Focus more on finding the best sights and enjoying the journey. And don't be afraid to take more photos than you need, you can always pick the one you like best later.
@PhillipGlombikАй бұрын
What Matthew said! Couldn’t have said it better. They’re all good options and there’s no right or wrong - the only thing to keep in mind is to do testing before you start spending a bit more money on lenses. The worst thing is to switch brands after 5 years and not being able to use the lenses anymore 😂 But from the sounds of it you got this! Thinking of lens availability is smart as it can save you money in the future. I’m a Sony dude because the first camera I ever got was Sony - no other reason 😂

I had a co-worker who was close to retirement and also into photography. I jokingly told him "hey, I accidentally ordered this lens and it is for a Nikon but I use a Canon. They are sending me the right one now, but they didn't ask for the wrong one back. Since you use a Nikon you want it?" His response was "Maybe..." as he was opening the box it was in up. It took him a minute to realize it was a mug and started laughing. I then said "Happy retirement, I would of gotten you a lens but I just couldn't afford it." He absolutely loved it, I have seen some pictures his wife has taken and the mug appeared in them from time to time.

I have never been able to stitch a Spherical Panorama in Luminar Neo firstly it wont stich correctly unless I select cylindrical during the process, and the most frustrating part is while I can change the sky in NEO when I view the panorama in Kuula or any preview software there is a massive stitch line. Even when the panorama is constructed within Luminar neo.

I hate this when peole always bring equipment price to explain why the service is expensive. Yeah, if that the case ice cream could be 1000$ because the machine and the ingredients cost like million.
@0DINN4 ай бұрын
Then you do it and charge less, I tried that. It's shit. People take advantage of you. Reality is no one is going to go out and buy this highly specialized gear for thousands of dollars. That's where the premium rate comes in. If you want to pay less then hire someone with an Iphone camera
@PhillipGlombik4 ай бұрын
Mh. Totally fair - but in your example some people have the ice cream machine and charge a dollar more, while others don’t, buy it ready made and charge less. I personally think equipment cost does flow in there somewhat - though there are enough costs without the equipment as well, apart from time and expertise. No right or wrong here I’d say 🤷🏼♂️
