I love pin curls! I did it once and it lasted so long when I comb it down. I would have loved to have seen the end results. I know you looked amazing! 😊

I immediately roll up my very short hair with tiny foam rollers. After curling all of it. That prevents melting them by curling and rolling them up one by one. I rarely press and curl my hair, therefore, I’m very excited to see the morning’s results.

My natural hair took time to grow. It stayed the same length for more than a decade. I made peace with it. My dad passed away obviously I'm now the breadwinner at home. No longer have funds for salons i do my own hair just to save money. My afro now looks like a relax hair, i wear and style it in many ways more than one. No one has touched my hair in three years and my hair looks so happy.

I used to pin curl my hair ALL of the time in high school (when I had hair) never pressed it or washed it myself but always pin curled it

Flaxseed gel has me in a chokehold, but it works very well for slicking and texture definition. You should try it, and you will be obsessed

We have to touch some dark entities. If a stylist is following sanitation laws, you have nothing to worry about. If you're not wicked you should be covered no matter who touch you....if you are then you have no place to worry about whose touching you because you're unclean anyway if you're affected.

I have always felt that. Certain people who don’t have clean hands will take from you spiritually. It can also be done in other ways, so be careful.

“Taking your hair into your own hands with your own loving intentions is one of the most helpful things you can do to grow your hair, and re-acclaim and affirm your love for yourself”. I love that statement and it’s so true! My hair is the longest and healthiest it’s ever been because of ME!! I don’t get my hair done, I only get it professionally trimmed. I don’t trust stylists in my hair. They have sliced my hair off in the past. I’ve worked way too hard for the length I have now to let someone mess up what I have created. Only stylist I trust is the salon I went to in high school. Her salon has been open most of my life and she’s still going strong 20 years later! 🔥

I love this so much. I recently made the same conscious decision to take care of my own hair. For many of the reasons you listed, as well as my length goals. I have a stylist that I gave 1 year to help me get to my goals. We didn’t make it. I believe I know why. My previous stylist went to Nursing School. She is out now. I am eager to go back to her. Within 2 months of doing my own hair, there is a significant difference. Love your hair. Talk to your hair with appreciation. Use quality professional products and tools. Your hair will grown and maintain its health and luster. Those are my rules. It works for me. Your pin curls are Devine. I have started pin curling also.
