I enjoyed this video! Thank you for being so extremely detailed, I love that! You explained everything so well and I like how you kept it simple but also told us what extra we could use if we choose to AND where everything was from! Thank you for taking the time out to record this! 💗

So, with this basic mixture, can used and add perfume body oils in the powder just the same, or is that method different thanks.

@Chatty-Kathy01 I agree with you about the Doterra, Young Living etc bc as a certified aromatherapist I know all those brands have to have a base carrier oil bc if they didn’t some EOs could not only burn skin when directly applied but would also be extremely toxic. I too prefer Now and Aura Acacia over those more expensive brands 😉

You go ahead and keep making what you want! I enjoyed this video and I actually have a question. I’m trying to make an edible scented body powder but I’m allergic to cornstarch, soy and won’t use talc because it’s terrible for us. Do you have any suggestions? Do you think that tapioca starch, often used in corn-free products, would work as a substitute?
@iluminameluna11 ай бұрын
Yes, it would. One of my grands is allergic to cornstarch and tapioca is the most cost effective of the starches. Although, if you had potato starch that's cheap, that would work too. ❤

You did a wonderful job. I have found that the best place for the OPC base is loanstarcandle you can get 25 pounds for $104. Also 70% alcohol is best for disinfecting since it takes less time to evaporate. 91-99% is best for crafting like Melt and Pour and technical jobs. I only mention this is because I use to think the higher the better.

Love Your video!! I've heard in the past that plastic or wood utensils and bowls should be used when using bentonite clay
@iluminameluna11 ай бұрын
Not necessary. I use mostly stainless steel or silicone utensils because I make soap from scratch with my equipment. I put bentonite clay in some of my soaps, and it's perfectly fine. ❤

They turned out so pretty! Also if you’re having trouble with a slick surface, I always just place a damp paper towel under the jar so it won’t slide around.

Love your video but I have a question... Although I LOVE the look of the nozzle you are using, when piping in with the star shaped nozzle it is definitely leaving quite a bit of air in the jar. How much ounces are you actually getting in that 8oz container? I know when I make these I can get a little over 5oz at the MOST and I fill it COMPLETELY TO THE TOP... and I use a round nozzle with hardly any gaps of air at all... Just curious about your "fluid ounces". Thank you!!

Hi 1st I love this video everything about it. So much so that I tried the the recipe you did but I would like to know do you use a preservative and if so which one
@juliamcdonough16982 жыл бұрын
It seems my original question had disappeared. My original question was do you have the list of ingredient of the bath butter, as this is necessary when selling. Also do you add a preservative as that also is important because of wet hands going into the product. TIA
@juliamcdonough16982 жыл бұрын
Also to my other questions, when you fill your containers, do you take into consideration the weight of the containers?
@juliamcdonough16982 жыл бұрын
Does the foaming bath butter list their ingredients on their packaging? This is necessary if you plan on selling them. Also do you add any preservative which is also important as it will be introduced by wet hands?
@nadiyahhenderson5287 Жыл бұрын
The base already has preservative in it.
@bjking8807 Жыл бұрын
@@nadiyahhenderson5287 the preservative in the base only covers the base, if you are adding extra oils and ingredients you need to add more preservative.

I love the simplicity of this recipe. Out of curiousity, what'd you use for a preservative? does it not need one or did i miss it?? Beautiful scrub btw
@aceseightsa84112 жыл бұрын
Put a piece of double sided tape on table or onto scale to stick jar onto to hold in place while piping. Easy to remove.
