You have more energy than I do brother. The only way I'm going to run through the woods is if a bear is chasing me and I'm out of shells

:)) fair enough. i'm running in anticipation, in case a bear does decide to chase me

Salut Lavvu, frumoasa iesirea... cum e cu focul in padure in România? E permis? Vad in multe video ca voi taiati si folositi si lemn verde... E permis? Intreb pentru ca nu mai locuiesc in tara de peste 34 de ani, Poate vei face un video pe tema asta sau imi vei raspunde. Mersi
@iswildexplorer6 ай бұрын
Salut! Legal, focul este permis doar in spatiile special amenajate. Foarte rar si doar in ocazii specifice folosesc lemn verde, in majoritatea cazurilor de la cazaturi.

Excelent, ma mira faptul ca in momentul in care eu ma uit la acest video ai doar 1788 de vizualizari dupa 3 ani de la postare si doar 86 de like-uri. Meriti cu mult mai mult. Eu unul m-am abonat la canalul tau. Succes in tot ceea ce ti-ai propus sa faci.

👍 Good instructional video. 1) what size was your tarp? 2) wouldn’t it be better to carry 8+/- titanium tent stakes to save time cutting them? 3) did the blanket alone provide enough insulation from the ground in these conditions? Excellent tip with apple and heated water.

Great video but maybe more explicit pitching details would have helped us replicate the shelter in the wild.

hi. I have a little question. I would buy this rucksack but I'm not sure to put anything else inside the rucksack after a sleeping bag! (some tools, food, a small book...). what's your opinion? Can you put something more after sleeping bag or is too small?

Man, you'd better have $1000+ worth of clothing. Snowmelt and/or sweat is going to soak your clothing, given all of that contact with snow while working hard. If you get wet in cold conditions, you're in BIG trouble. I dont agree with much of that at all. Get the snow the hell away from you if it's colder than about 0F. Insulation and a sealed shelter can handle that much, but when it's colder than that, you'll probably also need a fire and then you have snow melt problems. I dont bother with a tarp. Wind often drives you crazy, given a tarp flapping around, coming loose, being torn. I go with a bivy, drum liners and debris between the two, bugnet suits and dry grass or pine needles between the layers of netting, worn as long johns. I get up in a hammock, 4" off of the ground, debris/dirt/snow kicked up around the hammock to stop air from passing under you, more drum liners and debris wrapped around the outside of my cammies. The total weight of "extra" clothing and gear is 6 lbs. That "extra" clothing is comprised of sock liners, gloves, balaclava, shemagh. It's all useful in hot weather and none of it is effected by its getting wet. I dont have to carry the debris-insulation if I dont want/need it. I can just dump it out and then replace it, if need be. That's the beauty of this set up. It can be modified to handle whatever conditions exist and I dont have to lug around 10=15 lbs of pointless cold weather stuff all summer. To me, this is all shtf type gear. If it was not shtf, I'd not be out there.

In the mountains where I am, you’re not tapping improvised wood stakes into the ground with a few taps from a 10” stick. And using a blanket as ground cover would probably end up with you frozen stiff and dead to it in the morning. But the setup in the video looks simple and effective otherwise

My first thought is that this is one interesting adventure, with spots it looked like you would not get through. My other thought, is that without a good compass it would be fairly easy to get twisted around in the delta. Thanks for posting this video!
