Mildly miffed that he changed the pronouns, because I am a “be gay for 5 minutes” person, but his voice is so incredible. I can’t really be mad

I really do not like his version. This song means a lot to me, having lost friends to combat. He just does not evoke the proper emotion in it. He just sings it nicely. Very disappointing.😢

For some reason the creaking into the chair and piano at the very beginning makes it that much more real and deep. I've been listening to this on and off for a long time and it's always beautiful and meaningful. Thank you so much.

Unfortunately you change he to she. This song would be so much awesome without that change. Now it sounds far-fetched. It is pity, that you did not have that courage. Your voice is great.

Absolutely gorgeous, powerful rendition. But the gender switch in the lyrics robs the song of some of its power, in my opinion. I don't think a male singer leaving the lyrics as written would completely work either. Because the song is about an unmarried young woman left to bear a child alone in a time when that led to unbearable shame and being ostracized from society, it only reaches its full emotional height when sung by a woman, I think. I'm not trying to take anything away from this incredibly talented man and this brilliant performance, and I'm sorry to be "that nitpicking SOB," but that's my gut reaction.

Música ficou legal, Homem cantando.. Gostei.

the song is separate, the singer is separate. the singer did not try at all to convey the mood of the song.

It's as if he's Saving his voice for the show, to get thru the show. Not into Savers. Either belt it out, or sit down and watch someone who does.

I dreamed a dream in time gone by When hope was high and life worth living I dreamed that love would never die I prayed that God would be forgiving Then I was young and unafraid And dreams were made and used and wasted There was no ransom to be paid No song unsung, no wine untasted But the tigers come at night With their voices soft as thunder As they tear your hopes apart And they turn your dreams to shame And still I dream he'd come to me That we would live the years together But there are dreams that cannot be And there are storms we cannot weather I had a dream my life would be So different from this hell I'm living So different now from what it seemed Now life has killed the dream, I dreamed
