Around a thousand per faction maybe reaching 2 on peak hrs so 2- 6k ish people playing .. so really low. next month 2.0 releases that should bring some new life or at least i hope :/

Also for those that want to find out more about the game it's self hit aionpowerbook.com they have pretty complete info on the current KR classic release which is what I think we are getting, or they may be starting us at 1.5.. we'll find out.

I'm positively giddy myself. And what I'm really hoping is NCSOFT takes it forward with less cartoony cute stuff and keep it a "serious" MMO-FRP. I started on the retail servers in 2009.. been in love with it for ever. They have the ability to cherry pick from all the expansions to the game over the years and hopefully to dump the silly stuff. Yep, it is going to be a grind..but honestly folks it's no worse then WOW classic.

addendum, you can make 1 character on the "pre launch" either an asmo or an ellie. the "packs" are actually your subscription to the game.. I'm expecting to pay out $50 every 3 months myself.

It would be cool if aion had a community big enough to add roleplay servers but I think just having a global chat option for RPs is fine , and yeah definitely WOW classic is a whole nother beast but I know that most people back in the day quit before the game even really gets started so just adresssing those types , people sort of fresh to the genre
