First time I saw this filter in action was a high-end fashion photographer showing how she retouches. She thought the huge fluffy dress made her tall, thin model (who was seated) look heavy compared to the other shots in other outfits (when she was standing) so she made a subtle adjustment at the waistline. But those face options are mind blowing! I recently did my first "photoshoot with a model" and he had a habit of slightly closing one eye in a lot of the shots. This might do wonders for the artsy-fartsy shots we are trying to do. Adobe should give you some kind of kickback since I have decided to get the subscription come payday after watching your series:))

I’m new to photography, been in it for about a year now. I have a very basic budget friendly set up. Just bought a lap top and downloaded LrC. Haven’t gotten on there and messed with yet bc I’ve been dreading it but your videos have really been helpful to getting me to that point. They are so easy to follow along with and you are such a great teacher. Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos, I can’t wait to get on there this weekend and rewatch them while I’m applying it.

A bit misleading Title. It’s not Denoise with Mask. It’s AI Denoise and then add a bit of softening with Mask. Thought this was some new way to use Mask to Denoise without having to use the AI Denoise which can be painfully slow.
@tv5102 күн бұрын
No intention to try and mislead, just trying to use a title that demonstrates everything I was talking about. Thanks for watching.

I'm thinking about switching from my 70-200 to this 135 in the future. Everyone says it's a bit heavy but it's much lighter then the 70-200. 48 OZ. So that's why i'm considering this.
@tv5102 күн бұрын
I did a lot my portraits with the 70-200 now I never reach for it for a portrait, the 135 Plena is just too nice. If you use it with a Z9, it is well balanced. I can't speak to the Z8 as it might make it a bit front heavy. Good luck!
@yoelrey2 күн бұрын
@@tv510 i am sure it will also be awesome on the Z8. Of cource a 70-200 is a little more versatile. But again i think the 135 would be amazing.

Hi Terry, i have have one problem when you import photos to lightroom and your photos in pc is deleted than can i get my photos from lightroom???
@tv5106 күн бұрын
Think of Lightroom as an intuitive guide to your photos. The originals reside in folders accessible to Lightroom. If you remove those original images, Lightroom has nothing to access. You will only be able to look at the thumbnails, which will be in showing, but when you go to work on an image, you can't , because the images have been moved. (Sorry)
@morganhoward60278 күн бұрын
Hi Terry, thanks for helping me better understand and use Lightroom Classic. Here's a couple questions for you. Are Virtual Copies essentially duplicates? Can i print or send Virtual Copies? There could be situations where I develop different adjustments with one photo - can I "save" these copies and the original? Thanks for your time and help, Morgan
@tv5106 күн бұрын
Hi Morgan, Virtual Copies are just like any other image. You can export, print, bring over into Photoshop, etc. This is a great way to try different ways to process an image and play around with features. The one cool thing, is VC's don't take up much space. They are essentially "instructions" to Lightroom on how to process an image. Not an additional image. You are not working on the original so no matter what you do, you can always go back to the beginning. Enjoy!

On longer lenses, I do both the lens and body. This lens you can do either and be fine, it’s not that heavy.

can i check if you only get a mono audio recording when you connect the external mic to the Pocket?
@tv51012 күн бұрын
You are going to need two mics to get real stereo. However, you can alter the recording, (I’ve done this in Final Cut,) by splitting the sound over two channels. That way the sound comes out of both speakers.

No, the set up of catalogs allows you refine your searches inside of Lightroom Classic. Once organized, no other program can view your images in order.

I am not sure how far behind a brand like Nikon would be who has been making professional photography equipment for over 60 years. Has there ever been a side by side comparison to analyse their optics?

I bought a super tall monopod about fifteen years ago. With drones, I sure don’t need that anymore.
@tv51015 күн бұрын
I like the hydraulic tripod because I can put a very high resolution camera with my choice of lenses up on it. However, like you, I hardly reach for it since I have been flying drones. Once place it has been handy is I had a drone shoot right next to an airport. While I got permission to fly (commercial license) the DJI drone I was flying was locked out and couldn't be cleared in any reasonable time frame. Other than that, drones all the way.

The transmitter mic should have a clip twisted 90 degrees so the mic is aimed at your mouth when clipped on button shirts. I really like the Osmo 3. I might need to buy it. I’d like to buy it to make videos of nature with decent audio. Right now I have about forty pounds of equipment to make top quality audio and video. The Osmo sounds decent enough if the nature sounds are loud enough. Could combine it with a 32 bit handheld recorder I suppose, but I may not need to? With the Osmo I could go hiking to more potential places. Gee, how do explain why I need this to my wife? I guess I’ll have to hold off on getting a new iPhone, lol. Thanks for the video!
@tv51015 күн бұрын
I wouldn't go so far as to say the OSMO is as good as top quality microphones, but it is way easier. Good luck with the presentation to the wife!

One thing I can't quite get my head around with focus stacking with a macro lens is that they show the closest focus distance gives a 1:1 magnification with the magnification becoming less as the focus moves out from the closest distance. How does this effect the final image because surely the subject size is going to shrink between images?
@tv51015 күн бұрын
Yes, that can be problematic. However the software does a pretty good job at taking just the focused areas and build it into a new photo. But I have had to go back into Photoshop and do a little work to remove and aberration some times.
