Great idea: "Comparing OTAs for Glampers." I have used them all (I think?), and have settled with Airbnb and Hipcamp, but steer closer and closer to Direct Bookings as I grow.

Based on what I am hearing from economic experts (and Elon Musk) about some very difficult times coming in 2025 and later under Trump. We have canceled two upscale vacations for next year, and are cutting back on discretionary spending in response.
@joshua432142 ай бұрын
Trump has pulled many environmentalists into his coalition, and they will have some demands. I expect we will see some environmentally friendly policy in exchange for oil and coal production. This could result in closure of some public property. Not sure how that will affect private property usage though

Did you forget there are mid-term elections in two yrs?? House and Senate won’t hold…
@danielhanawalt49982 ай бұрын
I never paid much attention to politics and government. Over the last few decades I started keeping up more with it. Some things I'd seen from the late 80's and on. When President Trump ran for 2016 I thought it was a joke or publicity stunt. I was wrong. I paid attention though and voted for Trump. Also voted for him 2020 2024. Shortly after Biden got in office I saw prices on everything rising. The southern border was over run. Two wars broke out. Maybe the wars would have happened one way or other but I seriously doubt it. I believe America made the right choice electing Trump again. The next few years won't be without some pain and difficulties but I don't think it will be as bad as the last four. Time will tell.

Read some Carol Quigly books and you can make up for some “lost time” seeing what “politics” is about! And some kfabe studies…

@@erinsmart8422 Thanks for the tip. I've been doing a lot of catching up. I've been like a lot of people and just thought government and politics were a big mess and spent my time living my life. A mistake I think. One thing Trump did good if nothing else was get people paying more attention.

Hopefully RFK will clean up the corruption in the medical industry leading to so many ppl losing their lives, and then we won't have so many sick people, this then will translate into higher productivity and higher number of people being physically able to do glamping and financially able to pay for it!!:)) Now that's something to be thankful for:)) ( they all promise smth good before elections, let's hope this one actually does what he says he will...) As for one side or the other, if you read a little book by Edward Bernays called "propaganda" , as per him it does not make much of a diff as its part of divide and conquer strategy of managing ppl and countries. And he knows a little bit about that stuff as he is considered founder of the science of PR and was presidential advisor on PR as well as many corporations. Happens to be nephew of Sigmund Freud .. so he used Freud's work to apply it in real life and serve corporate and government interests.. Since you are a scholar and an academic I think you'll enjoy reading the book if you haven't already:) As always thank you for all the good info! Cheers

As a nature based industry and with a President that thinks climate change is a hoax, that should work out well 😢.
@t-bone36572 ай бұрын
The “climate” is ever-changing. Nobody disagrees with that. It’s the bogus & fake “remedy” you leftists came up with that is the hoax. The green deal is meant to A) Control the massss & B) Create a new industry using crony capitalism to enrich the left’s pockets. Please catch up

I am all for deregulation, but talking about money without mentioning his tariffs is missing the mark a bit. Contractors are rushing to buy product in the next couple of months before prices go up on imported goods.
