Got it on a phone camera, it was recommended by an online group that teaches me how to do intermittent fasting.

I saw it 10/15 while driving from Cleveland, Ga. to the area around Amicalola Falls in Dawson County, U. S. A. The comet was in the northwestern sky and was visible from about 7-8 pm when I first noticed it. It was probably viewable earlier than 7pm and definitely later than 8pm.

Speak for yourself. I plan on being around in 80K years. I saw the comet last night. Quite the disappointment given all the (BAU) hype. Once in a lifetime happened back in the middle 90s: Hale-Bopp and Hyakutake! I didn't need a camera to record that image. It was burned into my astronomical psyche!
@StargazerMan2 күн бұрын
I missed Hyatutake but Hale Bopp was something else alright.

It won't be anywhere near as bright as comet Hale bopp.

Best way to view it is with binoculars on a tripod. Perfectly sized field of view and a rock solid image. Got a few decent captures with a Canon EOS 5d ii and a 100-400 lens. F8.0, 30 seconds, and adjusted the ISO until I got a good exposure. Not quite as sharp at full aperture of 5.6 with that lens. I pushed out to 400 mm and then backed off a smidge.
@StargazerMan2 күн бұрын
Agreed! Binos all the way. Through the scope the nucleus looks very dense and interesting to observe but I much prefer the wider field of view.

Thanks that was great , but hey comets is one thing ,but the star map in the heavens ,shows us Jesus is coming back soon and VERY soon ! Amen be ready peaople ,the Gospel message in just four lines is in 1st Corinthians 1-4 1 Corinthians Chapter 15 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: ~~ We dont deserve it ,but God will give us His Kingdom !

Will it be visible in Ireland without a telescope or any equipment?
@StargazerMan4 күн бұрын
Well, that's the hope. Right now, it's not. I tried to observe it this evening after sunset without success. I had a telescope, telephoto camera lens and binoculars and still couldn't see it. In fairness it was murky on the horizon and intermittent clouds. Saturday night the 12th is when there is a slightly better chance and then from each night after that it will be higher in the sky and hopefully, will be easier to see. We have to wait to find out what it's like!!
