Damn they all sound so good. Guess I'll just use the SM57 and the Beta 52 and maybe blend them together. We use the D6 on the kick drum but it sounds so warm and dark on the bass cab!

I have the EQD sunn pedal which is basically a hyped up rat ..don’t know if this can replace that one …and I play a 90 jcm900 2100 series..doesn’t sound quite tight enough for what I need … but that’s why I have the Marshall cause it does that
@BrennanPittmanАй бұрын
The sunn pedal is wayyyy more destructive sounding.

How it is as a high gain amp booster?.
@BrennanPittmanАй бұрын
Not really the pedal for something like that but you can boost it like an amp with a tube screamer and make it more tight and djenty
@flatgroundtv7097Ай бұрын
@@BrennanPittman This pedal can imitate pedals, amps and pedal + amp. I think it can imitate a boost pedal. Sadly, there's no comparison with a tube screamer topology. Time will tell. 🙂

It's hard not to hear the Fender Bucker tone regardless of the pedal.

Right on. This isn’t actually the stock pickup in the guitar it’s a bare knuckle VHii which has an output level around 8.8k. So kinda like a paf but a little bit more kick

This is a good idea this is how I try to get my tone for real brutal metal, with rail pickups and a sd1 and a hm300 behringer pedal to a squire bullet strat tuned to drop or g, it had a baritone tele neck to really get a better clear sound and the single coils really made it a beast with grunt and a voice of wrath

Cant find many reviews on this, how is the weight and is there any neck dive? Thanks!
@EchoToVoice11 ай бұрын
I have a Jetblues Standard and the neck dive is pretty bad but I solve it with a canvas strap. The feel of the neck, the stock humbuckers and the looks are worth it. These Jetblues models are criminally overlooked.

Well made review of a quite forgotten pedal. I have some pedals of the hardwire series and every is very good quality for the (original) price. Unfortunately, collectors pushed up the prizes for hardwire pedals during last year. Good advice, to try out every pedal in effects loop. Especially high gain dist. works mostly much better in this position. For ODs i would disagree, because they intended to push the preamp. But, as always: if it sounds good ... :) Keep on the good work!
@ryans9029 Жыл бұрын
Overdrives we're not officially intended to "drive the tubes". They were designed to give"overdrive" through a clean quiet amp. .. hence why "pushing the tubes" is done with the gain mostly all the way down on overdrive pedals.. 👏

I have a Quickrod .. mine is older 2007 with no loop volume.. but adding a volume pedal in the loop acts similarly.. yes the amp default mode is GEAR 2.. when you have the light on.. it defaults to the amp setting.. light off.. back to GEAR 2.. so you can switch between Gear 1& 2..OR GEAR 2 and 3.. you were missing one critical point as each GEAR has 2 OD settings .. OD1.. normal gain and OD2 (light on) which is a heavier saturation gain.. so you technically have 6 sound profiles on the overdrive channel.. it really is a great sounding amp.. tight and unforgiving If you are sloppy
