do you need to replace the charge pipe once you put a catless dp in it?
@Anthony_B23 күн бұрын
Separate systems, so no, but if you still have the OEM charge pipe, it’s probably a good idea to replace it with a metal one as the oem plastic ones tend to crack/break over time 👍🏼

They’re insanely fun cars, don’t let this video scare you, it was mostly put together just to talk about the more common things that typically get addressed first on these cars, but it wasn’t to say that every car will have/need these repairs done Just budget for repairs and get the best, most maintained one you can afford and you’ll be just fine! 🤝🏼

I thinks it’s super cheap insurance if you’re planning on doing any sort of frequent spirited drives, on or off the track! There’s a pretty big temperature window before the needle start to move from its upright (normal operating temp) position, and when it finally starts to move due to overheating, so it’s just a simple way to have real time, on the fly data to hopefully avoid any catastrophic issues! 💪🏼

Hey , did you put the old under tray on when u were done?
@Anthony_BАй бұрын
I did with mine, but depending on what front lip you went with, if it has the extended brake cooling ducts, you’ll either have to modify your oem undertray (cut out room for the ducts to fit), trim the duct to be shorter, or not run an undertray at all, personally I just trimmed my oem undertray to fit the front lip with the ducting 👍🏼

so why is it louder if exhaust just adds valves? Like OEM has no valves so why does it sound diferrent?
@Anthony_BАй бұрын
The valves essentially allow the exhaust gases to flow through 1 of 2 possible routes, when the valves are closed then the exhaust gases are running through the muffled parts of the mufflers, which of course quiets the exhaust down, but when the valves are open, the exhaust gasses can bypass those mufflers and essentially mimic a “straight piped” exhaust, or in other words, the sound isn’t being muffled by the mufflers, so the sound is louder 👍🏼

did oil change on a 2008 e92 m3 and found oil to be glittery. Rod bearings done 4 months ago with receipt and confirmed thru shop. Any ideas if I’m cooked?
@Anthony_BАй бұрын
Can’t say 100%, but to try and ease your mind, usually there’s some slight glitter present during the first oil change after a big job like rod bearings as all those new parts are wearing into one another, however if there were any chunks in the oil or oil filter, literally anything bigger than those tiny little glittery specs, then there’s a good chance something is wrong and will need to be addressed What I’d advise is if you are truly worried, have someone diagnose further to confirm, but if you’re confident that the rod bearing job was done correctly by a reputable shop, I’d say put fresh oil in it, maybe drive another 500-1000 miles and do another oil change, just to triple check and confirm that the glittery oil is less present, then you can have peace of mind knowing it’s clean and seemingly healthy looking 👍🏼
@AznShadowWcАй бұрын
@@Anthony_B yeah the shop is reputable in SoCal and it’s vin verified and everything. I believe rods were done at 91K miles. Now it’s sitting at 97K miles and on its 2nd oil change since rod bearing job. First one was 3 weeks ago from previous owner. I’ll have to see and find out haha

I agree with MCS or JRZ, but Ground Control and TC Kline are just koni based coils, they're very good but they're nothing special or hardcore.
@maxwelllisovsky41937 күн бұрын
@ they’re better than the KW. Can guarantee that
@imnota7 күн бұрын
@ With such arguments I'm convinced lol Must be why all the record breaking e36's run GC and TCK instead of KW /s
@maxwelllisovsky41937 күн бұрын
@@imnota the majority of fast e36s I’ve encountered in the bay are on mcs. But a 3 way kw will be just as capable. It’s the lower tier kw setups that are low quality from my experience
