What a fabulous video - well done Pete and Chris! At SVP, we're really proud to be part of this project; our volunteers can see the difference they're making for nature. Keep up the good work, everyone, and thanks to players of the National Lottery and to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for making it possible.

Lost wetlands is what has led to regular flooding elsewhere. Can only improve flood risk by restoring capacity of wetlands to hold back floodwater.

Absolutely love what they're doing in restoring the canal. I didn't realise it was already in place & as an avid wildlife watcher (and CCT member!) I'm looking forward to going down to see it all.

Looks a really exciting project, more wetland habitat certainly needed in this area. I look forward to seeing what species it draws in as it develops

Thank you for sharing your farm. It’s inspiring to see that there are farms like yours out there in the uk. Not being driven down by supermarket buyers. It’s up to us the British public to support you on this journey as a partnership.

This might be a silly idea, but couldn’t someone move cows around the country in some trailer or something, spending like a week or two each time in a recreational park to get the grass down, then move onto the next area, spend another week or two grazing grass while overseeing the cows and they go back into their portable home for the night, until they move onto the next area. Then eventually they can be used for food when they get a certain age… could it not be better than using machines to cut the grass in built up areas?

I left a dog bowl in my yard which got filled with rain and a frog has been coming back daily . I change out the water bc it gets nasty really quick , we have well water that has been tested and we drink . It's been a few weeks now and he keeps coming back . I love watching him and knowing he gets a nice place to rest . I want to make a bigger but still small replacement pond . My question is about cleaning , is it ok to just leave all the nasty stuff that builds up? there's nothing to filter or eat it .

the flooding is down to centuries of bad land management, the only 'climate change' is the normal long solar cycle one that flips between warmer and cooler over time

That's not a pond you've created but a bird bath! A pond will need plants & most importantly oxygenating plants.

If we can drink tap water, and our pets can drink tap water, why can’t wildlife drink it too? Are there studies showing tap water can kill wildlife?

This is a wonderful presentation I’m in north America and feel the European marten is one of the most beautiful in the world. Our Marten population (northern Wi)is currently low as the porcupine are easily seen as are red squirrels and that usually means the marten are not eating them-that with competition from prevalent fishers and trapping equals bad news for mustelid lovers💚

I see hedgerow corridors! Hugely important to creating that full & balanced ecosystem that supports your farm. Especially if you are layering in blossom/berry producing trees & shrubs. Bravo.

I have built set up a mini pond a week ago. Bubbles appearing densely on the gravels. Slimy dead oxygenating plant leaves, I removed. Are the bubbles sign of algae growth? How to remove them?

THANK YOU, all you wonderful, informed and generous people , for going to all this trouble to try to stiop our children's lives being a living hell and for trying to save Britain;'s wildlife from extinction. It's so sad that the oil Industry has paid so many bots or Trolls to hurl abuse at the most informed and caring people of our community,... but - that's what the Oil Industry does. Just as it sponsors wars to obtain that oil. PLease ask your fave paper or TV News why they have ignored the people of Britain trying to save the future of this country and have, instead, done ANOTHER report on a millionaire ex-commodities broker laughing at the public whilst pretending to drink a glass of beer in Clacton.

I have been tearing up Balsam wherever I see it. Last year there were no noticeable balsam patches around my local park pathways, this year there are patches of it as large as entire fields. I've been tearing 50+ of them up each time I walk past and only just starting to make a small dent in the overall volume. Will clear it all in the next couple weeks to keep myself active but can definitely notice the overall barrenness of the spaces left behind where this awful plant has invaded.

The pond needs to be big enough to support small fish that eat mosquito larvae. Otherwise, in the summer months, your "pond" will be just a mosquitoe breeding facility. Not good.

Totally agree, ditch the tumble dryer and replace with a dehumidifyer, I also agree with making space for wildlife in your gardens. I have only got a tiny garden but still made room for a frog pond albeit a micro one.

Do you think planting a few plants in planters is going to fix The NHS solve nurse doctors or return services that has been stopped by Grahams Government we could do with some NHS Dentists instead of knocking down The Brexit Plaque on The Cross letting in more illegal immigrants for cheap labour whilst all the creme cheese of Him and His Party sits in their castles raking in parking fines and parking charges for their own self vested financial interests. You can trust The Tories after they wrecked Brexit for their own ideals
