How cool is that! Or should I say how warm is that! Glad to hear that you are helping the homeless and providing clothing, the St. Vincent Depaul society use to give $25 dollar gas voucher and a $40 dollar food voucher in Turlock, Cal, that helps when you are living in your car like I was for 9 years with out a job and living on $147 a month from Welfare and $189 in food stamps each month in Santa Clara County, and I had to pay the welfare amount back as it was only a loan.

I'm a veteran, and I feel like I'm being used by the VA and by SVDP. Period. All of us veterans do. We're actually losing, at least here in Tampa. We lost everything, we asked for some of it back, and we got a small portion of a small portion. It isn't maintained. We have to follow senseless rules put in place literally to keep us from getting money; then that money is paid to the people who keep us from it. It's really disgusting. These systems of giving back are not what they say they are. Not until there's proof. I'm 42, and I'm still waiting for my life to begin. We figure this out - and we all know who has the resources - or, it's war. Definitely. ;)

I believe in St vincent depaul. Can you help us in billings please? Ktvq needs to cover St Vincent de paul as it is today. My rights are being violated left and right by the upstairs staff. They have violated my Hippa rights, and human rights, as well as they have others here in billings.. I've been attacked twice and told to leave by security when I asked them to release me from their services. a few years ago they all quit and left only one person to handle everything. Today they refuse to fix the problems. Instead, they use our money to build fences keeping us out. The Natives are treated as subhuman and the management upstairs mocks them and treats them like children. My story? My rights were violated when they failed to let me know a relative was my money manager. They not only humiliated me publicly. They told me I have No voice. Ktvq you're champions for this sort of thing. Please help us out, tell our story because St Vincent ain't caring or listening. Thank you. It isn't just my story. Everything is verifiable.

You need to vet your volunteers better. I don't feel safe around some of these workers

My personal observation after dining at the Human Services Campus Dining Room aka St Vincent de Paul is that most of the volunteers don't want to volunteer here. They were heard saying most of the patrons are creepy/suspicious/act like characters from horror movies. Etc. Plus, Vinnie's downsized to one person serving a line almost as long as the campus of many people who eat Dollar General, etc food inside they bought with EBT, and thus, no need to be here after being in warm shelters all night. And the portions typically aren't big enough to feed a bird/patrons in pain with no EBT can't keep going through line. Etc. Even police working in here in past said you aren't legit. If USDirectExpress (front) wasn't forcing me to eat here or starve, I wouldn't. Are they making volunteers volunteer here too?

Thanks for this video! I just started a fortlift class at my local food bank that’s teaching it. It’s their 6th class and every class has about 5-6 ppl and it turns out I’m the first woman in the program 😂 lmao I was so shocked when I found that out so I’m a little intimidated but the men that are teaching me and my classmates are great too at pushing me ! Right now I’m just learning the Electric palette jack but ima learn the fortlift and other equipment as well. I’m so excited!
