Most great inventors have dyslexia and other mental disorders that leads people to assume there crazy. For instance, two bicycle mechanics invented an airplane that was completely backwards...tail in the front, engine in the back.

It is such a shame to hear the then view of professionals and institutions about populising academia as a negative impact to true research. Like many comments hear I will never fully understand the fields of these researchers but feel engaged and interested by their discussions. I would rather have people providing more mainstream content around academia in a similar style that has potential to inspire others to learn more about the world and universe, instead of which swimsuit looks best or for the ultimate gotcha meme.

It is possible to be a great communicator and popularize science without being a scientist. It is also possible to be a great scientist despite having some difficulty or limitation in communicating. Being a respected scientist and an accomplished communicator is a powerful but unusual combination. And I suppose that this arouses both the admiration of the audience and the hatred of fellow scientists, because, as you know, normal people are always subject to being poisoned by envy. Having a degree and a scientific career does not immunize anyone against bad feelings. But this is hardly capable of negatively affecting the life of a famous scientist communicator; the danger of permanent adulation and immense popularity are his more terrible and silent enemies. The downfall in such cases can be very painful and the result of arrogance.

I am an American guy in Massachusetts. I discovered that I could use Kevlar as a motor shaft pressure fittting insert for my drone that manufactuerers (in China) don't make bolting shafts for. It works wonders. And I am so surprised just now that Kevlar was invented by a woman right next to my state. My drone would not be able to do the adrenaline proximity dives without Kwolek's Kevlar. My drone's videos are in my channel.

In this country for my 70 years of life, perhaps not noticed for the first 10 years there have been interesting scientists talking about their work/passions which was part of the original remits of television, to Educate and Entertain, many minds in this country of failing schools need to know the important questions about the universe in which we live. I thank both these guys and their universities for making it happen. Enjoyable to see them both chatting like this.
