I wish i could afford a bigger boat 😆. I just picked up a 19 Hydra Sport. I'm about to put a new motor on it and start getting it ready for this year. I love it because it's got a huge fuel tank cause i have every intention of taking it to the canyon. Hopefully next fall is like this one cause we are still destroying bluefin off NJ.

In 2019, I was the owner of a 2004 Cape Horn smaller than your 31T. The heavy fibreglas layup and the vinyl ester resin made for a strong hull. I repowered mine with Suzuki at the maximum rated horsepower and was glad I did. I recommend that you install the maximum rated horsepower. These boats are heavy and they LOVE power. The only downside was not enough dedicated storage compartments.

Took a little "MacGivering", but managed to rob from Peter to pay Paul with lug nuts off the truck and we were on our way. Thank God the tire and wheel didn't cause an accident or hit another vehicle. So glad your new baby didn't go up in flames!!!! Best of luck with her! My first boat project is under way now. I'm doing a total refit of a 93 Lund Tyee GS 1850. For this last 10 months I've removed the Maroon 1993 interior completely including front and rear decking. Cut, epoxied, EV'ed, glued, upholstered every stick of furniture in the boat and changed to a white/grey/charcoal color palette. Also did a Coosa/Gluvit transom and opened up both gunnells for washdown kit and power poles on each transom horn. I welded a swim ladder platform on the starboard side of splashwell and lowered my transom tie-downs 5" so I could mount the power poles a bit lower--that idea came from "No Fish Nick" and I liked it enough to do that on my Lund. Because the power poles are hydraulic, I added space to the port side of the splashwell to locate the 2 pumps together. Also added front, center, and rear storage for electronics and fishing tackle. I removed the live well aerator "T" and installed a "90" to allow 1 of 2 live wells to be used as dry storage. I'm only painting the stern this year; the rest of the boat will be painted next year. Boat will be in rivers and lakes so I installed the Garmin Kraken trolling motor along with 5 chartplotters and 3 transducers on both ethernet and/or NMEA2K networks.

Huge addition. Add an option to drill/tap/install an extra SS insert to snap the pin into when in the stowed position for additional security. That is an item you would have to custom install. But for a grand, it needs it. The skill level required for the install should allow that to happen.
