Fun episode. A fight between Goku and Glorio, framed by a great gag, plus some intriguing plot. Glorio will likely end up on the heroes' side in the end, I think, but it's fun having a traitor on the team. Plots like this would never work in DBZ. I find the pink-and-brown look of the world to be unpleasant in an interesting way. There's a subtle lighting effect that helps remind the viewer that our heroes are in a strange and alien land.

I knew he was kinda pissed Goku couldn’t get his name right!😂 The only thing that kinda bugs me about this series is bo matter what Goku is just op! I never feel the urgency anymore and it has me a little bummed but for the most part I still enjoy the story so far! I see what you mean with the lighting, I just would like a little more variety! Or am I crazy?! Maybe it’s all the other series I’ve been watching that got me spoiled! 🤔 It’s only episode 6, so here’s hoping that the future is brighter!😂😂

Yeah, having the series become a mech battle series would just ruin everything. Looking at YOU, Ninja Kamui... Yes, the model that the sister is obsessed with has the username Pencilgon. She would absolutely lose her mind if she knew her brother hangs out with her oshi. The mech game is fun. A buddy of mine was upset that Sunraku used the mech name "Kingfisher," because it's one my friend likes to use in mech games.

Ninja Kamui… great first episodes but the mech bug infested it!😂😂 I totally agree! That’s what I thought, she looked familiar but I thought it was just coincidence! I do remember Sunraku mentioning she was famous earlier in the series. She looks so “normal” IRL so it’s hard to believe she is a ruthless SLF player! 😂 What mech game would that be?!

This is definitely a Dragon Ball style story, as opposed to a DBZ story, and I'm finding myself enjoying it so much more because of that. Integrating old stuff, like the staff, with new stuff, like Super Saiyan transformation, in a classic journey story, is just a dream come true. The only way it could be better for me is if the sad, neglected characters got power-ups and development.

This series is shaping up to be everything I hoped it could be. Same silly fun Dragon Ball stories, but actually animating the martial arts action. Currently warming up a stray kitten who was out in the cold rain. Can't keep her, but she can at least be warm until we find a place for her.

The funny thing is, Sunraku could post what he knows about the unique event on every bulletin board in town, and no one else would likely get it. The ability to show that kind of bloodlust and commitment and ability in the face of a terrifying enemy is a pretty damn high bar, and I feel like doing it hoping for a quest reward would not be as good. Sunraku fought like a maniac for the sheer joy of it. I must admit, the concept of the "vorpal soul" has had me fascinated since I heard it.

No one else is crazy enough to solo Lycagon to activate the unique scenario, so yes he could tell the whole SLF community and it wouldn’t make a difference!😂😂 I love this series for how ridiculous everyone acts, it just all around a great watch! The vorpal soul thing is very intriguing! I hope in this season we get some more info about it and why it’s significant that everything Sunraku does has Vorpal soul! I’m also excited to see the King of Rabituza and what he has to say about Sunraku! I’m hoping that’s coming soon!

Suffixes on names in Japanese are honorifics. You only use the name alone when you're VERY close to someone. "-chan" is an endearment for kids or close relationships meant to be cute. "-kun" is a less-cute one for older boys. "-san" is basically "mister," and how you would refer to 90+% of people - you're not close to them, and they're not all that special. "-sama" is what you would call an authority figure, like the president of your company. Next step up is "-dono," which is hardly ever used, because you don't often meet someone that important these days. I'd have to watch the Japanese version to check, but I think King Kai was "Kai-dono."

-kun is used for young boys and girls too -dono is not really above -sama, it just has different connotations King Kai is called Kaiou-sama in Japanese

Uraraka's power works on what she touches. When she thinks about touching Toga sadness, it shows how much she sincerely wants to rid her of it. And the way her power awakens, that she can't touch the object directly to make it with zero gravity, is incredibly well associated with the fact that she was able to reach her soul without touching it. Such amazing sequence. Great scene. This episode Top-3 in MHA.

@@DarkAnimeCorner s2ep10 - "Todorogi Origin" s3ep11- "One for All" In my opinion, these are the best episodes in the series, not so much in terms of plot value or uniqueness of the story, but in terms of director's work, animation, lighting, music, spectacle and pacing. This episode with Uraraka and Toga, displaced episode s3ep4 "My Hero" from my top 3.

There's so much potential in having all the characters get aged down. I want to see characters like Chi-Chi and Roshi train up to being badass by current standards. I haven't seen it yet, but some of the movement animation hints that we may have some real martial arts action in this series, which would make me SO happy.

That would be very interesting to see those two grow, bring it back to Dragon ball days! I would like to see my boy Gohan as a kid again, I’m hoping he gets some love in this series. It’s definitely got potential but I’m still on the fence if I’m going to enjoy it! If we really do get some nice choreographed material art fight scenes,that might change my opinion on this series! Hell yeah. This series is so much fun. Sunraku being a glass cannon is a great way to have huge, awesome, dynamic fights while maintaining tension.

It really is a fun series! I personally relate because when I play RPG games I build a very similar character!😂😂😂 I absolutely loved the climax fight of last season, planning and strategizing against Weathermon sucked me in. I’ve never really been a technical gamer so I imagine this how Elden ring players approach gaming! All round great series!

@@DarkAnimeCorner The Weathermon fight was CRAZY. I love the fact that they were all in, no planning for failure. They were invested, and if they'd lost, they'd have to rebuild their resources from basically nothing. Sunraku deciding to play for fun instead of trying to play safe was a great moment.

I was not a fan of the Buu Saga. It seemed like Toriyama's heart wasn't in it after Cell. The animation isn't classic Dragon Ball Z, so it feels a little "off," despite being much better. I also get the feeling that more care went into the writing this time. I'm enjoying it a lot. It shows promise.

The only reason I liked the Buu Saga was because of Kid Buu! Something about the primal/mindless behaviour was entertaining for me. Also when Ultimate Gohan shows up to fight super Buu and drops that Dubbed line….. it gets me fired up! Other than that I could do without the rest!😂😂😂 What’s your favourite sage? It does feel off and weird but I’m here for it! I’m pretty excited to see where this story will go!

The final season has been announced for 2025. They didn’t say how many episodes it will be, but considering there’s only ~30 chapters left in the manga to be adapted, I’m guessing it will be a half-season with 12-13 episodes.

@@DarkAnimeCorner As a manga reader, I’ll always be sad about some anime changes they make while adapting. (Particularly, they cut a scene from the final Todoroki episode between Geten and Mr Compress who discuss the history of the Himura family. And another few panels here and there.) But overall, I think they really killed it! The animation has been fantastic, and the story itself really brings all its themes together in this final battle. It’s a 9/10 for me. I’m reallyyy excited for the final season. A special episode would be cool! But I’m not sure they’d go there. Especially because the most exciting parts (imo) happen before that last stretch.

But since this is one of my favourite series of all time, when they come out with a whole box set of the manga, I’m definitely getting that! I’m also so excited/sad for the final season! A brutal cliffhanger, but awesome. All Might being an inspiration in a whole new way is just perfection. No going out with a whimper, no brave but pointless last stand, a real awe-inspiring contribution. This anime season has some gems. Shangri-La Frontier, that I recommended to you, is coming in hot, but I'm most excited for the return of the ultimate anime classic, Ranma 1/2! Two episodes so far, and they're brilliant adaptations of the manga, not a remake of the ancient anime, which was... less good. It's on Netflix.

I really did love that last episode. I also totally agree, that this new All Might was badass. I was very sceptical in that he wasn’t much without his quirk, boy was I wrong!😂 I feel like the first few episode of the next season will unfortunately show the fall of All Might! It’s going to be a sad day! SLF first episode recorded! As for Ranma 1/2 never heard of that! I don’t have Netflix though, That’s a bummer for sure. Guess I’ll have to whip out that credit card again to check it out. So many streaming services out there and so little money!😂😂 Does beat paying for cable though!

@@DarkAnimeCorner Ranma 1/2 is one of the truly great manga from the 1980s. The original anime was... less great, but still had tons of fans. Now it's being rebooted, adapted straight from the manga, and getting the treatment it deserves. It's a martial arts/comedy/harem piece of glorious absurdity.

Like I said before, Toga is one of those really tragic characters. She was drawn to blood as a child because of her abilities, which caused her to be shunned. I can understand why that reaction happened, but it wasn't her fault at all that she was twisted by her upbringing.

It’s amazing how much the past can really screws you up when you listen to the people who judge and shame you! The visual of them as kids really worked here, in showing how both felt on the inside! The theory of Rosti being an advanced ice clone of Elfie got a lot of support in that scene. The ice crystal, and invoking memories that only Elfie knew... Season 2 confirmed, BTW. I don't know what this season's hotness is going to be. Only a few new series have debuted so far. There's a remake I have HIGH hopes for, but I'll hold off on recommending it yet.

@@DarkAnimeCorner Oh, I forgot - Shangri-La Frontier's second season is supposed to be starting! Absolutely wild first season, and the second season is starting with my very favorite arc. It's the lightest on characterization of anything I've recommended to you before. You aren't going to witness deep emotional bonds developing or being resolved. What it does have is crazy action, silly fun, and excellent music.

It was so good! I’m loving the new and improved AFO! The atmosphere feels like it shifted and it just looks like the villains got this in the bag! They really did loose a great hero though! Mirio did come back so maybe hawks will too!?!? This series is just gold IMO!

@@DarkAnimeCorner The series was very well received, so I just know they're going to be doing a second season. The only issue is, the manga is only 45 chapters long right now (hey, new chapter!) so they can't get too hasty with the adaptation, or we'll get a late Game of Thrones situation.

This was a huge episode. Rudy's learning a lot about actions and consequences, risks, intentions, and ideals. That's a lot of growing up to do at once. Also, up to this point, I'm not sure you were aware of just how catastrophic the mass teleportation event was. Thousands of people, suddenly scattered all across the world...

I LOVE when minor villains come together with heroes to defeat a greater threat. Especially guys like Gentle, who was misguided and a bit selfish, but not entirely evil.

I missed your uploads. I never hit the bell, but I guess I have to hit the bell. So, in this episode, we see Rudy being both moral and pragmatic. He'll work with low-grade villains to achieve his ends, but his ends are pretty nice, and he's trying to teach Ruijerd about civilized morality. He's genuinely upset when Ruijerd kills a petty crook. It's moments like this when I like to look at Rudy's behavior in an episode and look at how he's grown over the series so far.

😂😂😂I’m the same with that damn bell! I’m glad I stuck it out with this series because seeing Rudy’s growth is amazing! He’s come so far! I’ve almost forgotten he is a panty stealing perv!😂😂 Rudy has definitely made me appreciate story and character development more! Glad I have lots more to watch!
