@historycultureandliterature don't crying on truth and facts and Karwa Sach
It's ancient India, not "muh south asia". Use the proper name, subversive snakes. You can cope all you want, but the fact remains there was no "Pakistan" before 1947. The entire Indian subcontinent was India/Bharat. Your history is India's history. Your culture is India's culture. Your genetics is Indian. But of course you won't admit that, because your hatred towards your own roots prevents you from accepting the truth, because you are mentally and culturally colonized by a foreign cult that was imposed on Indian. This is also why the newly created artificial state of Pakistan is still so backward and always on the verge of collapse, because you don't have the capacity to be honest and stand by truth.

I respect your comments. However, the idea that a language often begins as a dialect or derivative of another language is rooted in the evolutionary nature of language development. Language is not static; it evolves organically over time as societies and cultures interact, adapt, and change. Linguists suggest that many languages, before becoming distinct and independent entities, originate as dialects or regional variants of a parent language. For instance, Punjabi, like many other modern languages, evolved from earlier forms of speech. It traces its roots back to ancient Prakrits, which were themselves derivatives of Sanskrit. Prakrits were vernacular languages spoken across the Indian subcontinent, and from them emerged Apabhramsha, an intermediate linguistic stage. Over centuries, Apabhramsha diversified into regional dialects, eventually giving rise to languages like Punjabi, Hindi, and Gujarati. The same principle applies to European languages. Modern English evolved from Old English, which itself was a mix of Germanic dialects brought to Britain by the Anglo-Saxons. Old English was later influenced by Old Norse during the Viking invasions and Norman French after the Norman Conquest. Each stage saw English borrowing words, grammar, and syntax, until it became a distinct language. This linguistic evolution underscores that no language emerges in isolation. It typically begins as a regional variant (or dialect) of a dominant or parent language. Over time, due to geographical, political, and cultural factors, these dialects acquire unique characteristics, such as distinct vocabularies, grammatical structures, and pronunciations. Eventually, these differences become pronounced enough to classify the dialect as a separate language. A key factor in this transformation is the role of literature, governance, and standardization. Once a dialect is adopted for administrative or literary purposes, it gains prestige and wider recognition, which further solidifies its status as a language. For example, Italian evolved from regional Tuscan dialects, primarily because of the influence of Dante Alighieri’s literary masterpiece, *The Divine Comedy*, written in Tuscan. Thus, language formation is an evolutionary process. Every language carries the imprints of its ancestry, and most begin their journey as a dialect before acquiring the sociopolitical and cultural significance needed to be recognized as a language in its own right. This historical interconnection highlights the dynamic and adaptive nature of human communication.

@ gurmukhi was almost dead language during Guru Nanak Paatshah timeline He gave a new life to that dying language by using it and making it saint language its roots were found in the 3rd century a language that was so old n revived by saints was not a dialect even in those timelines …. A new born can’t remain a baby whole life after 50 60 years a baby’s whole identity changed so for the language that gone through so many ups n downs can’t remain a dialect forever

I think you did not understand my answer. Read it again. And one more thing, Gurmukhi is a script not a language..

@historycultureandliterature please stop presenting lazy arguments. When you discuss history people don't put everything into the regional sphere, French history is French history not European although it falls within Europe, Turkish history is Turkish not Asian, Egyptian history is described as Egyptian and not African although Egypt is in Africa. Only in this part of the world history is either Indian or South Asian, it's lazy and childish. Pakistan has a rich history of it's own, the name might be new but the history belongs to the land and it's people. It's the same land and the same people. Since this is a Pakistani based channel I should think you would have enough decency and self respect to claim your own history. Time to grow up.
@NostalgiaforInfinity3 күн бұрын
It was neither "Pakistani" nor "South Asian" civilization. It was an Indian civilization, because there was no such thing as "Pakistan" before 1947. It was all India/Bharat. The entire Indian subcontinent was India/Bharat and your country was created by partitioning India. The so called "Indus valley civilization" was the bronze age period of Indian civilization, not some separate civilization that popped out of nowhere and disappeared into the ether. It continued later into the Vedic period and lives on today in the modern Indian/Hindu culture, while you are culturally and mentally colonized by the Arabian cult. Also, there is no comparison between Pakistan and Egypt, Turkey, France, or for that matter, India. There was no "Pakistan" or "Pakistani" identity before 1947. Meanwhile French, Turkish and Egyptian identity and culture predates the creation modern nation states of France, Turkey and Egypt. Pakistan is not a nation the same as those other countries. It's an artificial conglomerate of different provinces that never identified as one before 1947. Meanwhile, the Indian/Bharatiya identity has been around for 1000's of years, even from the Vedic times. Every Vedic ritual starts with mantras that invoke the geography of India, and clearly mention Bharat as a nation within the continent of Jambudweep (Asia).

@NostalgiaforInfinity 🤣 what have you been smoking? Time to quit 😂 History belongs to the land and it's people, indus valley civilisation was a indus civilisation, that's the people of Pakistan, obviously it's their civilisation. India has never existed in history, you people need to leave your fantasies. You still don't have a united country and you're creating childish fantasies about ancient history 🤪 No two groups in India are the same, even today. Different cuisines, Different festivals, Different Gods, Different dress, They even look different, a Tamil is an alien in West Bengal, who is an alien in Gujarat, and a Gujarati is an alien In Tamil Nadu. India still doesn't have a national language. Endless list of differences, and this fool wants to create fantasies about thousands of years ago 🤣

Majhi was considered the standard dialect because the centers of learning were in majha,and lahore area,they got education first' and declared their dialect to be the standard,now malwai is becoming the standard,now even majha people have stopped speaking in majha style, because they feel ...............of the way each letter is voice with an extra 'h,' sound in it,but i don't want the majha style of speaking punjabi to end, every dialect has its flavour and it must remain

During 20 Century it was spelled as Punjab. And now due to interference of Hindi and Urdu it is changed to Panjab in 21 century.
@kuldevsingh894110 күн бұрын
No, it is not influence of Hindi or Urdu that Writing Punjab changed to Panjab. It was the British who wrote Punjab. It was same for Amritsar which was written as Umritsor and Ambala as Umbala. In English language the word with letter “U” is pronounced as “A”. After Independence, changes were made to reflect Indian pronunciations.
