These are not funny variations! They are the three dances superimposed one on the other (minuet, contredanse, German dance or teitsch) played together in the ball scene of the Ist act finale. A marvelous example of polyrhythm. A transcription for 3 string orchestras would be better, but absolutely impossible to find on the internet! Could somebody provide, please?

Complex undertones and rich sounds make this piece a must have for any Mozart collector.

Wenn ich das Menuett von Mozart höre, erinnert es mich immer wieder an innige Momente bei den Eröffnungszeremonien der Salzburger Festspiele am Glockenspielplatz Samstags abends mit den Bauerntänzen, vielen Menschen, Exzellenzen u.
