Good Morning World was canceled in 1968, three years before the "rural purge" went into effect at CBS. Gomer Pyle USMC had ended in 1969, as Jim Nabors wanted to focus on his music career, which is why he was given his own variety show, The Jim Nabors Hour, which the network canceled in 1971 along with the other older-skewing shows. Another reason for the Nabors Hour's cancelation was that the network wanted to limit Frank Sutton's involvement with the show, as the variety show was not his forte. Nabors refused to let this happen, standing up for his co-star and friend.

More ambitious than Get Back??? Huh?? You mean Sgt. Peppers? Or Revolver?
@GhostyTMRS23 күн бұрын
No, in this video I specifically compared it to other famous lost/unfinished albums like Get Back or Hendrix’ “First Rays..”. SMiLE is more ambitious than either.

I have never been a fan of Laura Flynn Boyle. I much preferred the Donna we received in FWWM. So the fact that LFB was to blame in the meta sense for the writer's intended direction of the script just reinforces my belief that she, LFB, is Judy and is responsible for all the negative things about the Twin Peaks franchise.

I enjoyed this interview, and I actually just finished her book. I did find a few errors in the book, but overall I think the author did a good job in presenting Deanna as her subjest.

Really enjoying going through these older VR&PS Beach Boys-related episodes (album discussions with David Beard, interviews with authors, etc.). If I might make one correction: The Beach Boys did not have “more Number One hits in England than they ever did in America.” The opposite is true - they had two Number Ones in the U.K. but four in the U.S.

Im so lucky to have grown up in a time to cherish the most gorgeous David Cassidy. If he only knew the love he didnt get from his father, he would have in his world wide fans. I wish the industry would retitle all his songs "David Cassidy" and The Partridge Family and give him the recognition he is due. Fascinating interview.

It's so frigen heartbreaking to now know all of this, I did know some of it but I didn't know how unhappy he truly was with his life. He probably should not have gone into show business. Obviously, it didn't bring him much joy. Now everytime I watch his videos I can't help thinking was he happy or was it an act, I wish I hadn't listened to this. His fans love him to this day and if they haven't listened to this which I hope they don't. I'm in shock, I'm one of those fans, making David Cassidy an idol was the worst thing they could have done, I'm afraid 😢😢😢😢😢😢

@@susannecardoza4556David’s fans love him to no fault. They are loyal. They want to know every deep dark and top of the moon detail. None of it changes how we feel about him. All of it makes us feel closer to him. Everyone wanted better for him and his I help him. I am very thankful for this interview and Chip’s priceless, valuable information and insight into David, that we would never know. I understand that you wish you only knew the STORIES” that David told us. As horribly sad as it is, I am glad to know the truth. I hope he is in heaven, happy and full of unmeasurable joy and love like he always wanted.
