Genuinely a great video! Personally, I would love to learn why you can't stack turbines. Say have a higher one, then use the draft tube as the inlet for the penstock of the next turbine further down. So you could have 3-4 per dam stacked from 1st as the highest, down to the lowest.

Just fyi there was FREE energy in the past. All of our necessities in life are monopolized by the powers that shouldn’t be!! Tesla RE DISCOVERED free energy!! How the hell do yall think those massive cathedrals built 400 yrs ago that we cannot replicate was built🤔 there were moving sidewalks and airships and so much more. People really think we are evolving but in fact we are heading backwards. The world is a fckn mess!!

It sounds good and is ideal to have a goal for 100% clean energy. There will always be cost and benefits to consider with that goal, so as long as we are not overly enchanted by such words. There will always be the need to have various optional fuel sources for economic and security purposes.

With all these innovations of buying wind and solar power at the lowest rates, why, then, aren’t our rates going down rather than climbing? In all the states I’ve lived in we are paying the highest rates here in Idaho.

Please don't junk up Idaho's beauty with thousands of pointless toxic towering eyesores that can't be recycled. Nuclear is the way to go. How about the wireless transmission of power like Tesla did in the 1890s?

Morley Nelson because of him Idaho Power got most of the ideas to protect the birds that call Idaho home. Idaho has more birds then people and before Morley Nelson came along they were getting electrocuted. In 1975 Idaho Power hired Morley Nelson and he built the decoys and nest that are seen at the top of everyone of Idaho Power's poles. The decoys scare away the dangerous birds and the nest protect the hawks, eagles, and falcons that call Idaho home. In 1980 Morley Nelson established a bird refuge that is on the cliff near his ranch in Kuna which is named after him The Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey Conservation Area whose mission is to protect the birds that live in this great state.

Break my gates open and enter my property while I'm not home, to tag poles they are going to move around with heavy equipment. They are going to destroy my property. Going to put power poles in that they will make millions off of while I am not compensated one bit! I would have never even know they were on my property had they not called my phone number on the no trespassing sign that they disregarded on my gate as they left and closed it half way. I just purchased my first home and now 9 months later Idaho Power is going to come and destroy my property. Install power equipment that they will make millions off of on my land. Yet not compensate me one bit!

And, how can it affect people's health if used the wrong way? Like, the idea of dirty electricity? Could we feel nausea should we be near high voltage? etc. or misuse of tasers at a lower voltage etc.

and how did humans realize they could do this? and why these transformer stops along the way, or conversions? There's always a mystery somewhere for us normal people wondering without full on knowledge.
@gabemirwin11 ай бұрын
i’m no expert, but the point of the transformers is to transfer electricity more efficiently over long distances. The step up transformer decreases the amperes and increases the voltage to 100,000-700,000 volts. then the step down transformer increases amps and lowers voltage. there is another step down transformer on your pole that again lowers voltage and increases amps for you to use for your appliances

I have this same question. I want to learn how to make electricity or what it takes to make a actual battery or hoe they get the materials and mined them. It really confuses me that if the lights go out, I would go back to wood and fire bc I don't know how to make energy and transfer it to something usable.

@satanspotatoes6 ай бұрын
@@ojpimpson3343realize this response is late, but hopefully youre still interested. First they made electricity using chemical batteries (certain chemical reaction release electrons creating a current). then some dude that had electricity going through a coil noticed his compass was goofing up, and that started the idea, that there is a relationship between electricity and magnetism, and then came Faraday that showed you can generate current by moving a magnet. So then we started spinning big magnets to create electricity. And all of the other stuff is just optimization, but thats the jist of it, if you have any other questions feel free to ask.

thats why University courses should only offer STEM degrees. no more sending kids to study Art, Gender Studies, useless Social degrees, etc when World War 3, or some natural apocalyptic event earthquake, zombie outbreak event happens, People will realize these so called "Leaders" and "Politicians" wont be able to run a country anymore. it will be the nerds, the engineers, the scientists, the bioligists that lead civilisation to to advance. Meanwhile these tiktokers, youtubers, activitists, politicians, will be stuck in the stone age watching the intelligent ones building.

Its not common knowledge which is why they have certifications for this stuff. This stuff is taught but is forgotten unless studied as a hobby or profession. The human brain omits information not needed as your brain can only handle so much. This is not basic nor common knowledge. The average human knows about the moon, but not the details how we learned in school, unless you retained that knowledge as a hobby or, again, as a profession. @themanwithnothingtolose
