Hello, so these are estimations and so you should know that in the first quadrant your angles are between 0 and 90° and halfway of the first quadrant is 45°, so for 32 ° you're just estimating so you can draw it a bit below the 45° Mark to estimate

You consider each quadrant, the easiest way is to reflect/extend the angle in the opposite quadrant, then take counting from the positive x axis anticlockwise 🔄 to the line measured in most cases that will be the positive of the negative angle..

About the direction isn't supposed to be 128.8 degrees since the x component is negative and the y component is positive and these are found in the second quadrant so we subtract -51.12 from 180 degrees?

Sir! I believe you made a mistake! Sin(5θ) would be equal to the imaginary part of the expansion! As we said at the start (cos(θ)+isin(θ))^n=cos(nθ)+isine(nθ) and when we expand the real and imaginary parts we can say cos(nθ)+isin(nθ)= the expansion so the sin(nθ) must be the imaginary part of the expansion!!! the answer you found would be the expansion for cos(5θ), if i am not mistaken

Thank you very much, yes idea is to equate the real parts and the imaginary parts, but the question asked to show that the sin(5θ) was equal to our expansion, so we start with an initial condition which we know could have been either (cos(5θ)+isin(5θ))^n or (sin(5θ) +i cos(5θ))^n), but we just started with (cos(5θ)+isin(5θ)) since its what we are familiar with, but the actual expansion could have also been (sin(5θ) +i cos(5θ))^n), and which was the case in this question and thats why we got that, in other words it tells us that sin(5θ) was from the real part of the expansion and no the imaginary part. does that make since?..
