Saw them open for The Deadboys a few times. Some people heckled the shit out of them but when the singer came out with a Flanger pedal I knew this was the next song. I was 16 and got the joke but they were entertaining.

I can appreciate someone playing punk with a hofner. That takes balls.

The band is essentially Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet (with a different drummer) before they were Shadowy Men. Don Pyle on vocals. He switched to drums for Shadowy Men.

They only made two singles (I think), but they were the best ones in NW punk.

Jet was run by Sharon Osbourne's father. A real tyrant. Still, the thing here is that Bernie getting into the punk thing had a problem...he could actually play.

They were from Worcester. I can remember them playing this number at Whitcombe Lodge nr Gloucester in '79 supporting Chelsea. They weren't called the Rowdies by then and were masquerading as a Mod band called RPM.
