The difference is Siege had its own identity and reason for people to play. As well as way more players and hype around it. XDefiant was just another arcade shooter where the only true selling point was “hey we don’t have SBMM”. XDefiant literally felt like Ubisoft made a game just to try and capitalize off of the COD hate instead of making a game that was actually special

This is true that siege is very unique but XDefiant still cold have been the escape/break from cod for many. Cod keeps messing up huge and if XDefiant had the chance to keep building I honestly believe it coins have coexisted. Now I’m just hopeful we get a shooter with some exo movement. Titanfall/cod jetpack like. Feel like it would be perfect in this time of gaming

its a horrible scenario, the job losses are actually closer to 270 from what ive seen. at the end of the day ubisoft has released flop after flop and lost the interest of their core audience. they have taken money from the paying customers and in return have offered them loot boxes, battle passes, skins/microtransactions and worse games. when you choose to milk your audience for all they have rather than provide them with what they want you cant be surprised when they stop paying. not to mention having to download the malware that is uplay whenever i want to play these games instead of being able to just launch them, but hey atleast ubisoft didnt lose those sales to pirates who wouldnt even waste the bandwidth downloading these games. whether this issue has come from higher ups or is the fault of the dev teams for making mediocre releases is a different point of contention, I personally havent been interested in anything ubisoft has done since siege and rayman. If you continue to apologize on the company's behalf issues like this do not suddendly dissappear, you simply mask them. if there is a problem you must fix it. Deadlock is available on PC but not sure about console and has very good movement, otherwise you could play Stalker 2 until something good comes out.

The amount of hours I’ve put siege on all my accounts is terrifying but honestly same when it comes to interest for Ubisoft games. I’m glad I didn’t waste money on Star Wars Outlaws even though the idea seem like a great game. I’ve played deadlock quite a bit. I think I have around 50-60 hours played. This game had potential but. Poor execution, timing, and patience from the top killed it too earlier than it should have. Luckily I have other games I can play and looking forward to. Just sucks from a fan to see it go
