How long do you figure, Jimmy? Ontario to BC is just about the same distance as walking across the united states... all alone. You introduced me to this band, for a reason I didn't understand at time. Now I know that/why you were matched with them... and with me, and it was for more reasons than one. Is that as far as you expected me to be able to make it of my own volition and might? To BC? Was that you doing your best, exiling me as far as you thought you could? In service of what? You go to a Jimmy Eat World concert to hear this song live. Because the album version does not compare. And this actually makes me sad. The album version is a bitter disappointment once you hear this song live, with the power chords.

Fucking incredible. I love the album version to death but this live version is just pure genius. The descending lead melody sounds so cathartic when it’s played with distortion, especially when they transition it into a clean channel again at the end. This performance makes me proud to be an Arizonan.

SONG OF THE DAY!!! JIMMY EAT WORLD - GET IT FASTER (2001) Esta bNd se formo en Mesa, Arizona 🇺🇸 en 1993. Su vocalista (Adkins) y su baterista (Lind) habían sido amigos desde preescolar y querían formar una banda con un toque de punk rock. "Jimmy" es el hermano menor de Linton (guitarra), que tenía un problema de peso. El hermano menor de Adkins realizó un dibujo y lo colocó en la puerta de Jimmy y era él poniéndose un globo en la boca, y escribió "Jimmy Eat World". De ahí proviene el nombre de la bNd. La letra hace referencia a una pareja en la cual el chico está CANSADO DEL COMPORTAMIENTO DE la chica y decide PAGARLE CON LA MISMA MONEDA.
