This song transports me to a time 20 years before I was even alive. How they captured the feel of another era of music in this song is nothing short of magical.

To think, whenever I hear or think of this song, when written, Lebanon's issues had only just started, roll forward 40 years, and like Iran once was, Lebanon is now hell. A once, democratic, multi-religious country that was thriving (when this song first came out). I bet Phil never thought that 40 years later, Lebanon would be the terrorist-run, cesspit it is today.

Time stood still? Nah. They're far more polished and sound a lot better than they did even just 20 years ago. I've done around 200 of their gigs in that time 😬

Would have loved them to segue into Watcher of the Skies like in 1976 with Steve's soaring guitar solo break. As per Three Sides Live UK release side 4.

MAGNIFICENT! Because of his drum work in Genesis, Phil was always my favourite drummer - my inspiration. Nic certainly has his DNA and is undeniably as magnificent as his dad was back in the day. When I had the opportunity to play Firth of Fifth live, I also played some fills from the Seconds Out version, mixing them both together. Happy days! Great memories!

What a piece of sh.t you are to write such a description about one of the few true living heroes ; keep your opinion for yourself goverment brainwashed piece of crap

Not quite as accurate as dad, but maybe I hear too much of Chester live, in my head, whenever I hear this song.Just sounds like it's milliseconds behind the song. Great that Phil has 2 great drummers to keep the Collins thing alive.

Hi, we wondered who was playing bass lines too!! I suspected Roger King as he looked “busy” even though “It” is very keyboard lite!! So, I asked the Hackett website this morning and got this reply - Hi Mike, Roger is playing the bass line on the song It. Great to hear you enjoyed the show! Best wishes, Team Hackett
@davebellamy4867Ай бұрын
Roger plays quite a few acoustic guitar parts too. Definitely. Like in Shadow of the Hierophant and the Los Endos ting tong ting tong bit before the finale. (Reminds me of Little Britain.😂)
