Hello Margo, thank you so much for your informative video😊 I just got admitted into NUin this year and I’m considering whether or not to commit, since I’ve heard that NU is very career oriented. I learnt through the college application that I’m not really a fan of putting myself out there, so this worries me. Does going to NU means that I need to look for co-op and plan out my career path very early? Do most people know what they wanna do already in freshman year? Also, do NUin students have a hard time adjusting in the spring semester?

How is course work in the NU in program? I heard it’s not too bad and that it’s pass fail. Is this correct?

This is correct! NUin classes are pass/fail, but the intensity of the coursework depends on the class you are taking.

Hi! I would say academically, the school is challenging but in a good way! Making friends is pretty easy with the amount of students on campus as well as the abundance of campus organizations you can join to meet new people :)

Hey, I’m currently pursing an associate degree and I am praying that I’m able to successfully transfer at Northeastern it’s honestly been a dream to attend I’m currently majoring in liberal arts and I want to minor at one of their programs they have- anyway what are the requirements of getting into Northeastern? like GPA etc
@MargoLiakos112 жыл бұрын
Hi! I personally am not qualified to give you the exact "requirements" so to say. I did find this link that I will post at the bottom of this message if you want to refer to this! I think Northeastern admissions really look into students who portray leadership and are "go-getter" almost. However, that does not mean everyone that attends here has those qualities! Again, I am not qualified to tell you what Northeastern looks for in students, but I do think being self-motivated, being an active member of activities, and leadership are some things they look for from my own experience. Hope this helps! catalog.northeastern.edu/undergraduate/admission/admission-policy-entrance-requirements/

Hi, I just got recently admitted to NU class of 2026 and I was wondering why some people get dorms while others get hotels? Is there a way to choose or do you just end up with one or the other?
@MargoLiakos113 жыл бұрын
Hi Rachel! The people in hotels are usually first-year NUin students right now who were unable to go abroad for their first semester or Northeastern puts students in hotels because they do not have enough dorms. You do not get to choose unfortunately as a freshman. Hope this answers your question!

Which dorms have a kitchen in them?
@MargoLiakos113 жыл бұрын
The apartments as you move into sophomore year housing usually do! If you go onto Northeastern's Housing page you can easily be directed to second-year housing with kitchens (economic, standard, or enhanced style apartments based on how much you wanted to pay).

Hey, I have a question about the NU in program. Do you only take classes with NU in students once you are on Boston campus?
@MargoLiakos113 жыл бұрын
Yes, NUin students did only take classes with NUin students which was a pro and con of the program in my opinion. It allowed the NUin program to be tight knit and be close with each other which was awesome to make some friends, but it did segregate us from the Northeastern community a bit in my opinion.
@patrickmyers56703 жыл бұрын
@@MargoLiakos11 Do you know if this was only for the special situation In which Nu in students were on the Boston campus? Also, Do you only take classes with Nu in students after the first semester is over? Thanks so much
@MargoLiakos113 жыл бұрын
@@patrickmyers5670 I don't think it was a special situation. However, when the NUin students go abroad, they do take classes with students within their host school. I think NUin students only take classes with NUin students when they are in Boston. After the first semester, you become a regular Northeastern student and join in classes with all of the regular students on campus.

You shouldn’t watch any bikini in the machine even cheap ones. And the ocean thing is just a precaution. Most swimwear companies say that. I’ve worn my kulani kinis in hot tubs, pools, etc, and they’re fine. Just as long as you rinse them with water when you’re done.
