How would the plate umpire know if Carter tagged the runner since he’s out of position

The Expos had a great outfield trio back then. Ellis Valentine was also terrific. 🫡 from an old Pirates fan.

Amazing defensive play! Paul Blair knows he is out and jogs away from the tag. When you're out by a mile shut up and take it like a man... That's good sportsmanship rarely seen today.

Once upon a time Rick Monday saved the 🇺🇸 American flag and baseball was loved by millions. Now players burn and desecrate our colors which is why now baseball sucks in America 🇺🇸 where we live free or Die. #### But this show is better than the current MLB product for sure ####

Makes sense for DC to have a team. But it sucks not having a Montreal team. Needs to be at least two more teams in Canada.

I miss baseball before all the Manfred changes rushing things. Also the players have lost much emotional discipline on the field.

If I’m right I hear Howard Cosell and Keith Jackson on the play by play so this must be Monday Night baseball on ABC.

That was some series. Montréal had a great team, and the weekend before, they bested the Phillies 2 games to 1 in Philadelphia. The Phillies had 3 tough series in a row: Expos (away), Astros (winning 2 of 3 in Houston) for the NLCS pennant where 4 of 5 games went into extra innings, and then the Royals whom they defeated for the World Series championship. Three great teams all in a row.
