It is definitely a good place. I stopped by 20 years ago. I was an exchange student living in Fairbanks and went on a trip to anchorage with my host mom. We stopped by the roadhouse on the way and until this day I talk to people in France about this beautiful, welcoming place I spend a night in, in a beautiful little town. I loved chilling in the living room near the wood stove and if I remember well I had a chicken soup with a biscuit. It was my first time tasting a biscuit and it remains my favorite side dish. I’m definitely planning on coming back to Alaska after all those years especially to the roadhouse. Thank you so much for those wonderful memories

It kind of reminds me of a dorm-which for those of us who lived away at college, was a good experience.

FYI, there is a waiting list to get in. Rarely do people leave. I was curious so I checked. Only thing would be it would be nice to have a bigger supermarket-I'm thinking it is very limited.

Hi friends! I’m the producer of this story and would love to answer any questions you might have. But I especially want to use this comment to thank Della, CeLsee, Randy and the community of Wrangell for welcoming me so warmly and letting me share their story ❤

Inspiring story. I'm from Baltimore, Maryland and a former wrestler myself. Della, you've articulated the idea that wrestling can be a metaphor for life's struggles, for overcoming adversity. Best of luck in the future.

Went to school in Ketchikan, 1970-1974. Had a Churchill family here. Went to school with Holly and she had an older sister April, beautiful gal, I think both were cheerleaders. their dad owned Yellow taxi if I remember right. Grew up in Ketchikan. Wrestling and basketball were huge then. Miss the meets. Great film folks, brings back many memories of southeast Alaska.
