It also really pulls out the grain, making both the light and dark grain lines richer. My only reservation is that if there is something in the compound that "removes" the original finish. I suppose it doesn't really matter as it is offering a protection to the wood all its own. I have a satin Taylor that I think could look a lot nicer if it was shined up a bit.

Just wondering if you have ever seen a Modern Eagle V with alder body with maple cap around. Super curious how it'd sound like.

Now I don't have this trem, but I would think other things used in conjunction with this tremolo would aid in tuning stability, if a person decides to go this route, which would include a GraphTech nut, or some kind of lube nut or roller nut, and locking tuners...ensuring the strings are pulled and stretched, the tuned up to pitch, then repeating the process: pull/ stretch, retune, until the strings show to be not going out anymore when pulling on them...this would all aid in tuning stability if this device is decided on being used...I think it's a cool option if you don't want to wood route/ mod the guitar, and keep it as "return to original" as possible. Thanks for the video!

Hey Dude, Congratulations on your find, she is beautiful! It looks like you've had it for about a year now, curious what your thoughts are and how many of the 17 std. tones you use? I've had a wood library on my radar for a few days now but also looking at a library studio and 10 top special. If you had that choice today which would you choose and why. I'm at analysis paralysis lol.

Thank you so much for your video. I've been looking for a solution for my satin finished guitars for a while now. I used UBeaut EEE Ultra Shine on my all mahogany acoustic and the result is fantastic. Applied six coats and hand buffed between coats with a microfiber cloth. Then applied a few coats of UBeaut Polish Restor

I'm not sure with this particular company is a matter of whether or not it is worth the difference. The quality of the cheap import line from this company Rivals and in a lot of cases exceeds the best as far as quality control goes that most of the other big brands are capable of putting out at their highest level. If you don't have the money But you want the quality the SE is an incredible guitar. After that it really becomes a luxury for those that are fortunate enough to have the money to spend on The US made stuff that PRs produces.

It be aight doe... Honestly PRS is great regardless of what level you choose and you definitely see noticeable improvements on each level you move up too. The amount you spend is solely up to you to decide if it is truly worth it or not? The USA PRS pickups are a HUGE upgrade, but the import pickups are not horrible at all. It's kind of like Duncan Designed versus Seymour Duncan pickups. They are both very good and sometimes you can get lucky and the Duncan Designed actually will sound better, but in general the real Seymour Duncans are consistently better. It's the same with PRS pickups.

I kinda guessed one could do this, as my guitar came with a satin finish on back of the neck. Now, it's a high gloss. It did take many years to get to such a gloss. So, the natural way is not the quickest way to turn a satin finish into gloss 😉

I got 2 of the Rocketeers in the H S S format and put a bone nut on one. They are surprisingly well made so I can sell one and know how to set them up.... so I did. Rogues are very decent guitars and no frills and cheap and with ordinary pickups...

I bought a knock off version of this, the brand is Guyker. It can actually do 2 way, adjusting the middle circle (i don't know what it called 😂) with an allen wrench clockwise so it will stay in the middle position. Then you can do dive and up 😊

Hi. Thanks for the video. I have a question, will it work on satin nitro guitars? Thankyou
@IamMusicNerd
@IamMusicNerd 4 ай бұрын
Great question. I believe so, as it is still a lacquer. However, nitro is harder and more brittle than poly. So just be careful not to push too hard to avoid cracking the lacquer if the wood flexes on your guitar.

I bought this guitar to have a backup guitar and to scratch that "hollow-body itch". Do you know if TV-Jones pickups will fit without having to do any drilling/cutting?
@IamMusicNerd
@IamMusicNerd 4 ай бұрын
It has to be the humbucker sized TV Jones pickups. If it’s the classic filtertron TV Jones, there will be a small gap between the pickups and the rings.

Why on Earth woudl a guitarist judge a guitar by the pattern and colour of its wood? Were B.B. King and Clapton stupid to choose Lucille and and Blackie as the guitars of their choice?

I have this same guitar. WG Standard Exotic-Ziricote. Truth be told, the guitar arrived new with 9 high frets. I had to give it a fret job right out of the box. The Floyd Rose Special is junk and is made out of ZInc alloy casting. They wear out and the screw holes strip after a short while. I upgraded the Floyd also. This guitar is amazing now and is just as good as my WG Special.

The Core 85/15’s are called 85/15LT’s they come with brushed covers and engraved 85/15LT on the covers the only reason the S2 says “S” on the label is for when they are assembling them in Maryland its to keep things organized during assembly or it could be because when they make them in korea they have slightly different specs for the S2 and SE line of the same pickups
@creationinspired200
@creationinspired200 5 ай бұрын
You know funny you say that the frets on the S2’s are glued in manufacturing i think is the biggest difference between them all and the only thing separating them is $1000 if your already spending $1000 on a guitar might as well double whatever you did and get a better longer lasting instrument nothing wrong with SE’s ive had a dozen but my american ones are the real trophy takers electronics or no electronics they sound play and feel the best overall but if i do get more SE’s there going to be re fretted with glue new or not no frets should be unglued in the board your just waiting for winter to come through and f everything all up with 20% humidity ask your guitar tech he knows

How do I adjust the arm to stop it from swinging around loosely? I know how to adjust the arm length but I can't figure out how to adjust the tightness of the arm itself.
@scotts653

There's a locknut under the pivot. Loosen strings, then big Allen screw on top. Take out spring and tension the nut. U can also take out the nylon washer where the arm holder swivels to increase friction.

Nice array of pedals there! I built a pedal board way back in 2015 named Storfoten (swedish for bigfoot). It was way to big to begin with so I cut it down to a smaller size and added more pedals. Over the years it became smalller and smaller until the final version called Bigfoot mini with as many pedals as humanly possible. Everything was controlled via midi using two looper switchers. I made a short video of the project: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2a2hqSJe7Nnqac Now, for the final version in 2020 I simplified everything and replaced a lot of the pedals and the looper switchers with an HX Effects. I've also replaced my amp with an Atomic Amplifire because I'm a lazy bastard and I don´t want to carry heavy amps. ;-)
