I have a '95 300 I6 with the 5spd and get 21MPG on the highway and about 13-16 in city, depends on if I'm in a rush or not. All pipe after the two cats and dumps in front of the rear tire, sounds mean, going to take a video soon

how well do the engine turn those big tires?

I had two 88 Ford F150 2wd work trucks one a 300 and the other a 5.0... The 5.0 had more punch but the 300 more grunt...as I remember the 300 got a whole lot better gas mileage.

That 300 is a great engine.....was still used a few years as an industrial engine... The 292 Chevy L6 was great as well...Both Engines power the older UPS trucks.

@mirlin235 Depends on if your Cat(s) are clogged or not. If they aren't then you won't notice much of an improvement moving to no cats or free flowing cats. If you have two cats, like my '95 300, an O2 sensor will be between the two cats and will throw a running rich code and the computer will try to compensate and your mileage will go out the window from there.

@dbeyer92 All torque. No horsepower. Acceleration doesnt change much with bigger tires. Thats how that beasty 6 anger works!

Does that 300 even realize that those tires are on the truck or does it not really change your acceleration? Buddy of mines got 35's and his truck doesnt really seem to notice...

@cotequadsport In this vid it is stock 3.08 gears now its a D60 with yukon 4.88s and a ARB air locker........ and yes i do beat on it and it has never let me down

11mpg......at that point it was 9" of lift and 39.5" IROKS now its 11" on the same tires

@MegaMoto4 Your clutch was shit to begin with then. I have a 4 inch lift and 33's on my 95 f150 w/4.9l and stock 3.55 gears. I have been running like that for over a year with no issues. I also beat the hell out of my truck off road. Either it was already shot, or you just can't drive a manual.
