Honestly dude…as messed up as it is….Jonny was at his best vocally when he was getting loaded. Not the same these days but don’t get me wrong, couldn’t be happier bro is clean and healthy with his son now. Just nostalgic seeing the old vids of shows

Whatever you can say about Jonny during children of divorce, what kind of woman chooses to bring a child to term with a man she knows she won’t allow in the kids life. Set the kid up for failure and she’s the only one to blame for that

My only gripe with "We Didn't Start The Fire" is that they added it onto Stardust's deluxe album as the last track, which totally ruins the vibes after the beauty of the titletrack 😭😂

the only thing id want to say is just because theres 4 songwriters listed doesnt mean they all wrote it. In my band, our singer actually physically wrote all the melodies and lyrics but because we were a band we split our publishing 4 ways. I believe Mason actually did write shake it, just didnt take all the publishing for himself

Thanks for turning me on to Glimmers, False Hope is a banger. Also the last Warped Tour I attended was 2013, and even then it felt like the scene was dying out. For sure bands like FtSK were becoming quickly irrelevant and 'outdated'. I'm happy that The Ready Set is still around and has stuck to the same style, just with a modern twist.

HEY! "The Ballad Sal Vilanueva" is one of my favorite songs. It's almost like "There's No 'I' in Team Part 2" and Neutral Milk Hotel fans would really love that if it was. kzbin.info/www/bejne/haDFl6ZpiZ1jaa8

Man, I feel like life passed me by, if I had only gotten into music earlier, I’m 34 now, I could’ve probably joined the ranks of these people. But I was just too insecure, Two scared and not at all confident in my abilities back then. I guess you could say I wasn’t even really able to truly refine my vocal talent, until like 2012, but I truly didn’t accept my abilities as a performer/singer, until 2022. I always doubted myself, never really believed in my abilities, and back then it was probably a lot easier to get in because now everybody is trying to do something with social media music whatever. Sigh.

I was at the "Of Machines" concert featured in the video and so many other Of Machine shows back in ATL at Swayze's and other venues and listen to that album front to back at least once a month and am still in touch with one of their guitarists. Such an incredible band. Was heartbroken to hear about Bennet's passing as well. I would've loved for that project to continue.

Fall Out Boy is my favorite band right now. I started listening in 2013 when they came back from hiatus with SRAR. I actually love SRAR and ABAP. They’re super interesting albums to me. Even though they’re a lot more pop, I feel like they have so much heart and they’re super genuine. You can tell the band really put their all into making the album. Nothing sounds super generic and boring to me either. I honestly can’t stand Mania though. I heard it was super rushed and it got delayed several times. You can definitely tell since the quality of the music took a nosedive. I listened to it recently, and some of the songs I just think, “how did this make it on the album? What were they thinking here?” I love both pre-hiatus and post-hiatus though (besides Mania obviously).

6:01 you get it!! pre hiatus fall out boy gets all my emotions out. But post hiatus patricks voice is literally compelling me to stand up and throw ass. Hold me tight or don't possesses me 14:23 😂 relatable content actual final edit: I have to get experimental stoner pop tattooed on my forehead now

I'm just at the beginning of the video but! I was like in 6th grade when I found fall out boy and became normally obsessed. So when they came back right in the middle of my college years I was so genuinely stoked I was insufferable. But I never had a problem with their new sound. And I don't know if it's because in the time they left, I was able to listen to a huge variety of different types of music so when they dropped something outta the blue I was already acclimated to different beautiful sounds from my all time fav band. Tldr: my thirst for Patrick and Andy are too strong to ever make me hate a record they make and I almost crashed my car the first time I heard Young and Menace

9:58 I didn’t know anyone else knew he was nicknamed Otter. I used to be friendly with one of his high school buddies through some mutual friends. I think Otter’s name was from Animal House and I think others had nicknames from the same, but I may be wrong, I was very very intoxicated when I hung with them back in the early/mid 00s at this guy Sped’s place. Sadly I didn’t talk to him beyond “hi” so heard nothing of the band. I do remember his gf telling me not to touch his leather or he’d hurt me. I do remember when he walked in thinking, “this is the punkest morherfucker I’ve ever seen.” Good times.

i think if pretty. odd. would’ve come out just 2 years later, it would’ve been a bigger success amongst the hipsters of the era. luckily for me, i was entering my own hipster-ish section of my scene queen era. super into the beatles and especially the jukebox musical movies (if they’d be considered that?) across the universe and sweeney todd. so pretty. odd. was just a natural evolution for me and still a banger to this day!!

The big reason I was stoked to go to WWWY is because there were a lot of bands there that I never got to see "when I was young" haha! I never got the chance to go to Warped at all. Those "revival" type events are the closest thing I'll ever have to having that magic that I couldn't access given that I was just a kid (Simple Plan pun not intended 😅) and I do not come from a family of wealth. It actually means a lot to me to be able to come back to these bands that got me through my teen years an adult getting by pretty okay all considered. It's a full circle moment for me, I guess you could say. I can see where you're coming from with there being well ... some bastardizing of early 200's alt kid culture. I recognize it for what it is when I see it, and it's not cute 😑. There is definitely some amount of actively ignoring that in those spaces in favor of focusing on what being there means to you. The big wigs at LiveNation and shit can try to over-commercialize and cheapen it all they want, it's not gonna get in the way of me having my moment if I don't let it 🤘🏻 🖤 🫶🏼
