I’m getting an error can’t find file dbo.mdb I suppose since this is a 9 year old video there have been some changes. I’m using SQL Server Express 17 and MS Access in 365.

I know this an old video but maybe someone can help. I run Win11 with 3 additional monitors and my laptop. The Password dialog works great whn all of the monitors are connected BUT when I open access with only one monitor the dialog box for the password does not go to the primary monitor, it goes to screen 2 which is not connected. Now do I fix this?

Ohhhhhh, i hope somebody still reads this... Every time i attempt to run the SQL with the DEFAULT keyword, Access treats it as a parameter request with a popup window asking for input. What am i doing wrong???

Great video! Access Form has on navigation buttons little search field, but it is small. In your future video, can you show how to create text box with same functionality to search entire form and highlight what has found from VBA?

Great video, thank you. Just one note. When I use "Text Form Field" instead of "Bookmarks" for setting the place of each added word, I don't have to add coding to delete the words after each created file and the rest, as you showed on "deleting data" part. The code just creates the files with unique name and its corresponded unique data. The code is slightly different for that. I am not smart, just combined this code and the one from the similar method from T Golden Eye channel. Both are good.

@SteveBishop ~ Thank you for this entire video series! I first got into programming in 1991 after returning from Desert Shield/Storm. I taught myself JCL to program an Amdahl mainframe computer and I first began databases using DBase III... In 2003, I started developing an "application" in Excel using formulas for EVERYTHING... all the while KNOWING that what I created belonged in a relational dbase and KNOWING Access existed. This has been an outstanding series, one that I hope remains posted for some time to come as I am certain I will want to refer to it time and again as I develop this application in Access. Thank you again for the tutelage... 10 years after you created and posted it!

Same functionality to give text from one text box to another with just one line of code: Forms!Form2!Text0.Text = Forms!Form1!Text0.Text No need to raise event. Event on change will do the same.

@3:26 ~ I still get an error message regarding the Null values being added to the lstEmployees box. I used the on error resume next to ignore the Null values.

Thank you for the video series! @17:42 I get: Run-Time Error '94' Invalid Use of Null My code is exactly as yours yet I didn't see that you get that Error Message... ? Do I put in Error Handling of Resume Next to skip over Null values? For now, I went and filled in the Null records.

10 Years late to this awesome video series, however; should anyone have these questions here are my solutions: @3:43 - On the "JOIN expression not supported" issue - In the Query Pane, change the Join type to #1 @3:50 - On the City/State/Zip Invalid Control Source issue - It is a Circular Reference problem which will resolve itself once you go through and name all of the Controls in the Report Design View Detail Section.

I have learned that I can use the Query Builder in a Form (for example) and save the Form with the built-in Query and without saving a formal Query in the Navigation Pane. When, or under what circumstances, should a formal Query be saved vs. a Query saved in a Form?

Good courses, but you may want to finish designing the database schema before you start populating the database, or it's a bit messy to watch, IMHO.

quiet a bit loss at time - b/c you're not showing the data type on a few of a table. You keeping on flipping between tables and don't even show the creation of each table w/ an exception of the employees' table.
