One of these private parking companies were daft enough to take me to court when I forgot to display my badge. End result was they had to pay me £1000 for my counterclaim for breach of the Equality Act

I’ve lived in central London for 25 years . I’ve been hit three times - by cyclists. Twice while crossing on pedestrian crossings - once when a car driver stopped to let me cross - but the cyclist undertook the car. Cyclists are dangerous and unregulated.
@twiggyinc117 күн бұрын
So many drivers blame the cyclist/s to be irresponsible or stupid. But the end of the day, if you hit someone, you could end their life and that will be with you for the rest of your life however stupid or irresponsible their actions are.

Clearly private land can display disabled parking and can enforce by private companies, it's not the law. Most shops and stores that have car parks display disabled areas, but majority of the time they are filled with cars not displaying badges. Costco in Thurrock you will find this daily, some may have forgotten to display, some may be disabled but have no badge, but majority are just lazy ignorant people who could not give a fuck about others. I suppose ignorance is a disability in its own way, but the criteria for getting the badge does not think that would be sufficient grounds to issue one. Fine offenders £1000 and this would stop overnight.

Whilst its not nice i would expect that someone with a temporary injury such as broken ankle/leg/hip or back injury etc should be allowed to use them without abuse. Maybe doctors and hospitals could issue temporary ones.

I was on the M5 yesterday and police were holding back the opposing side of traffic because there was a gent on an E-bike with a Deliveroo bag tootling along without a care in the world. To be fair though, given how stationary traffic often is on the M5, he might have been delivering to a car stuck in traffic.

Many people who are not disabled use private disabled parking spots, the parking wardens need some way of knowing who is genuine and who is just a lazy chancer.
@InclusiveDriving24 күн бұрын
Unfortunately, the bigger problem is "lazy chancers", as you put it, using a blue badge belonging to someone else. How would a parking warden know if the badge was being used by the intended person?
@aaronbinning146325 күн бұрын
Hi, do you signal right here at 16:17? Thanks
@InclusiveDriving24 күн бұрын
Check the sign at 15.55 it show the 2nd exit is a right turn. Then check the Highway Code, which says if you are taking an exit to the right, use a right signal on approach. There's an argument to say a right signal might not be useful to anyone but stick with the Highway code and you'll be OK.
@aaronbinning146324 күн бұрын
@@InclusiveDrivingthank you, if I get this route I’ll be sure to signal right, I most definitely wouldn’t have if you didn’t reply. Thanks again 😀

So the last test I did they failed me for using the middle lane off wobaston Road, saying I should indicate right to show I'm going on Stafford Road, yet every video I've watched no one indicates they follow the designated lane. So what gives? 😂

In a mini roundabout you can't go together in the same time, it's dangerous. Your expectation of how somebody would make the turn is in reality different from the driver to driver. I could make it very fast, while signalling, and T-bone you. If you see me crossing the line & going to the centre, stop and give me the right of way.

Any hgv idea of Featherstone hgv routes. The test is there next week.
@InclusiveDrivingАй бұрын
I'm not sure on hgv routes. But ... what would an examiner want to see? If i was an examiner, I'd probably want to take you on some narrow roundabouts to see how you manage the lanes, possibly a double-mini roundabouts. I'd also want the independent driving to check that you chose routes that complied with your height/weight restrictions. I'd also want to see you negotiate national speed limit roads, and possibly a motorway to see if you follow the rules
@BigRed-OperatorАй бұрын
@InclusiveDriving thanks for the reply, yer failed test last week or garrets green on the hgv, got a last min one up Featherstone next week. Looked everywhere on KZbin for an hgv test route but found nothing.
@InclusiveDrivingАй бұрын
@@BigRed-Operator I'd just encourage you to get inside the examiners head. Every place you visit on test, ask yourself why the examiner has chosen to take you there ... what is s/he looking for?

8:48 true mate, stopping is not permitted except for breakdowns and medical emergencies, you’re also allowed to stop for reasons outside of your control, for example at traffic lights or in a stationary queue of traffic, single red lines are funny, say for example on the sign it says no stopping Monday - Sunday 10am - 4pm and it’s Friday 12pm, how are you supposed to stop to read the sign if you’re not allowed to stop? Lol! 😂
