the larger vechiles would not make that tight turn so badly designed. Mad how many people cant drive!

God what a disaster. Road safety should be kept as simple as possible as the public is a dumb creature of innocence. None of them should be left to make their own judgement, it needs to be crystal clear. Sorry, but right or wrong this is still a big fail, and whatever idiot designed and passed this should be sacked.

Please don't think im defending poor driving, or taking anything away from your excellent advice. .. But when 90% are doing/getting it wrong, it needs replanning, as it obviously isn't achieving what it's designed to achieve.

Exactly, this is a stupid layout. There's one near me very similar to this - they even upgraded the hatched area between the 2 roundabouts to a raised island containing keep left signs. It made no difference! This design needs ripping up and rethinking. Unfortunately, nothing is likely to be done in either case until there is a fatal accident or several that are just 'serious'.

Fault for lane discipline is probably at around 4:05 as there is two lanes and the candidate is driving in the middle of them, you can see the "lane closing" arrow where the lanes merge, this shows there is two lanes as you pass the parked cars, but there isnt any good marking, just the crown line in the road.

So if a single person is walking where there is no pavement, they should stay to the right so they can see oncoming traffic, but if a group of people are walking where there is no pavement they should stay to the left? How does that make sense?

So it is safe if you cross the primary traffic light and yellow and cross the repeater which turned red?
@nssimpsonАй бұрын
I'm sure the average speed limit within that cul-de-sac would naturally be less than 24mph (plus I've read that no traffic calming is necessary if the cul-de-sac is less than 80m) so could remain in the 20 zone without any traffic calming measures . According to what I've read when looking into this... 20 mph speed limits exclude the use of any physical self-enforcing features and rely solely on signing and carriageway markings to encourage reduced traffic speeds. 20 mph speed limits can only be introduced on roads where average speeds are 24 mph or less (I believe this is guidance only but is adopted by numerous local councils). 20 mph zones require the introduction of a series of physical traffic calming measures like speed humps and chicanes to address lengths of road where average speeds exceed 24 mph in order to effectively make the lower speed limit self-enforcing. Entry points to 20 mph zones are clearly marked using distinctive signing and carriageway markings.
@nssimpsonАй бұрын
If you enter a road with just a 20 sign and then move onto a new road with street lights but there is no speed limit sign then I'd presume that road is a 30. However, if it's a 20 zone then each new road inherits that same speed limit until you see the zone ends sign.

I've got the same fitted to my car. It's a simple adaption, but so effective. Love being mobile and this adaption helps me to do so. Really recommended if it fits your condition.

Thise are not speed humps they are speed cushions totally different. Speed humps fail to take in to account headlights causing increasing brighter headlights being flashed into oncoming motorists eyes and compromising their vision.

Why can’t the council just sort the lane markings out so when approaching it from Morrisons to go 3rd exit and then first exit to test centre it cuts out the clowns whom don’t know how to drive.
