I've been unable to locate good, simple investment information that also covers where taxable gains go on a IRS Form 1040. I am trying to get young employed family members interested in investing. I think a simple demo of a Schwab year end tax statement from the 1040 perspective would certainly round out my own understanding. I've yet to sell anything myself.

To those who complain about her mention of white privilege, I think what she's getting at is that while there may not be intentional discrimination in the laws, the unfortunate fact is that the more voluntary nature of migration, often from countries that already existed, such as Luxemberg of white Europeans to the Americas (and the much older history of countries in Europe compared to Africa) means that not only did their nations exist but they could bring documentation and stuff and they were able to naturalize as US citizens and stuff, and were admitted to the USA as from their nationality, which means their previous nationality was documented prior to naturalization in the US However, regarding the history of african-american people for example, many of them were forced to leave with nothing, without documentation or citizenship and effectively stateless (and were not recorded as having any nationality when arriving in the US since they were viewed as less than humans and hence not considered to have citizenship or rights) before the countries, which were created by a colonial dividing up of africa, existed, meaning that many have less documentation to prove ancestry to a specific country, which, did not exist when they were forcibly kidnapped and the laws may not have retroactively granted them citizenship (when they were given US citizenship by the 14th amendment there was no record of a previous country) However there is one country, that is sort of trying to make amends by giving them residency rights in ONE african country (though not granting full citizenship immediately, which in a future African Union, would give full freedom of movement across Africa which is kind of their equivalent for their heritage vis-a-vis her european heritage across Europe) acheampongassociates.com/ghana-right-of-abode-2/

What is the difference between Roth Contributions and a Roth IRA? I just started getting Roth contributions out of my pay with my traditional 401k. I will be fully vested next year and I need to do catch up contributions because my DMP , Debt Management Program will be paid in full by the end of next year. Should I contribute more to Roth contributions now or should I do a 50/50 between the Traditional? I am thinking about doing more of the Roth

Hello Alex, can you please explain why Roth IRAs cross over with stocks? It truly doesn't make any sense, I can only understand it like you're gambling on stocks with your IRA account. What is the purpose of the stock market being involved AT ALL with your IRA? What happens if a stock you're betting on goes down? Would that lower the amount of money in my IRA?

I believe it is a shame what has happened to TOS (Think Or Swim) Platform. Schwab purchased from TDA along with the thousands of retail traders they had. The Schwab rules differ greatly from the TDA Rules and Schwab did nothing to align the TOS platform to their rules. So here we have a brokerage NOT disclosing rules , regulations to their style of trading. Not to mention for every time i have had to use a stop loss? i have not seen the execution price slip as far past as currently. almost as if Schwab is trying to purposely run retail traders into the ground. I was with TDA for 14 years with NO issues.
